Yes you can paint a helmet with normal

Spray paint. There's no difference in the paint just the manner in which it's applied. Simple enamel with enamel clear coat. I paint all our Jr. Pro helmets and Coach their Defense. Just make sure if you use enamel base coat to use enamel top coat. And a GOOD Primer coat to start.
