So I live here, and it is my hometown, it isn't completely horrible if you grew up here, or say have family here. Where you can find more to do than go to the museum, should of at least when further than they did, probably would have seen the little things that are here, yea sure the video showed nothing, but there is more than that, come back for frontier days, its an experience if you have never been before. I think people can feel defensive when it seems like others don't like or appreciate their state. I like diversity across the states. Not every state or town should be like the next. I like that Wyoming is rustic and close to nature, and not a bunch of mini-mall corporations that litter the eastern states and sea borders. Never been there, but it seems like a paradise compared to inner city turmoil.

@jephybean haha well we definitely weren't there for mini malls! we were there to see wyoming...nobody we asked could give us any information on parks, views, non-chain restaurants, family-owned ice cream parlors or cafes...and we weren't poking fun at wyoming--we were frustrated that we couldn't find anything that screamed Cheyenne!

I'm way in Michigan and we hear all kinds of complaints from all over the nation. lol. I think it's a common mentality that we can complain about our own state as much as we want, but if an outside statesmen says anything, the dukes go up. When in fact, we're all in the same boat. But a national road trip to every little nook & cranny sounds fun.

if you ever come bak there is Frontier days statium and There is a Mall and Right next to the mall there is a cold stone, a super walmart and LOTS of bars. Cheyenne is known for Frontier days Biggest rodeo of the U.S pretty much. Cheyenne is def not for everyone but it is a fun town for folks that know how to be country.....dont judge by the area you were in. You didnt even explore the other parts of cheyenne

Wherever u go, u can't think it's all as u hope or think or similar to ur "young city idea". I find this video kind of annoying. Cheyenne isn't a great city but we're decent. We do have a Baskin Robbins, you were a few blocks away from it and a cold stone. When I found out I way going to Wyoming I had to check the map, to see where it was. Yall was in the downtown area not much to see or do in Cheyenne unless you like drinking and eating at food chains. Even that takes some getting use to here. Most everything is on Dell range anyway. Aside from houses we have two pizza shops, two gas stations, a convenience store, a very small grocery store, a donut shop, two restaurants that have almost exactly the same menus, a dollar store, a tanning salon, a bowling alley, a video store, a furniture store, a pharmacy, seven churches and four schools. Um...first of all Cheyenne is not all one road ...there are quite a bit more ;) That lady was dumb lol. You should have gone more north of town where everything is at. We have a Coldstone and Baskin Robbins. You were downtown, which is where all federal buildings are so it's going to be boring.

And, well as a tourist, that's just what you assume. If you want to find something, restaurants, bars, ice cream, etc, it should be downtown. And stating Cheyenne has more than one road with the 'smiley face' seems a bit passive aggressive. Hence my response. Sorry if I misunderstood your response.

Nick, We are actually called Wyomingites. And believe it or not there is plenty of stuff to do in Wyoming, Cheyenne is a bad example. I'm from Cody which is on the other die of the state and we're right next to yellowstone. Which is awesome. Tons of hiking, skiing, and restaurants!

There are a few bars but you really have to know your way around to have fun, and they are more noticeable at night time. You were for sure in the wrong part of town lol you were just around a bunch of businesses. And yes there are yummy restaurants there. Not a wide selection but what we do have is tasty.
