  • he looks blue merle to me...

very cute ^^ but it's wierd to see an aussie with a tail !

  • Surprised you didn't doc the tail

  • I love your puppy! I thought mine was a red merle, but I think he is a red tri, his red coat is a very solid color... I'm not sure, he's the first dog I've ever had. :P

  • @BiddiesAntics if it has solid red on the back, then white around the collar, then red on the head (maybe some white markings) then it's a red tri. Google images should help :)

  • @ElectricChalk Yup! He's a red tri. :) Thank you.

  • that is the cutest thing ever!

  • My Red Merle Baby Is The Sweetest She Has A Heart With An Arrow Going Throw It On Her Fro Head...Once I Can Get Some Better Footage I Will Show The World How Beautiful And Special She Is :) :)

  • red merle?? she is blue.

  • No actually she is a red merle. I own blue merles and that is not considered blue, thats red.

  • nvm shes cute

  • Btw.

Red ones are never grey, black and white. ...they are white, pearl beige, brown.

  • aw! i want that exact dog! and when i get one i want to name it lilly too!

    how weird!(:

how comes some aussies have tails and others dont?

can someone please answer that for me?

  • some people dock their dogs tails others dont. basiclly, as a puppy, they cut off the tail because it looks nice. but some are born without tails and have naturally docked tails. others are born with tails, and its up to the breeder to keep the tail or not. other countries, except for america, say its illegal to dock a dog's tails so more of the foriegn dogs from out of this country have tails.

  • ohh. thanks :)

  • Although, They do dock the tails if its a working dog so it doesn't get caught in the brush, or rocks, or thing like that. If it's a working dog then it's legal because its actually doing the dog a favor in the countries that have outlawed docking. Here though it's mostly for a consistency in the breed.

  • I noticed that its tail isn't bobbed. Did you choose not to have it bobbed?

  • actually, it's just not very common over here, none of the puppies tails were bobbed.

  • @Lillyfees Glad you kept the tail! Love Aussies with tails. Unless, of course, they are hunting and running through the underbrush, or whatever reason people say they started multilating puppies.

  • does she/he the ball out?

  • I have a blue merle mini aussie and I have a cat toy like that one and she does the same thing!!

  • That dog is so CUTE!! We have an adult red Merle too, and we have him dancing! Check it out! go to Dandelionproductions channel, and its called Awesome Dancing SkillZ

  • coool dog

my red merle just gave birth a week ago but they look "blue merle" (white with black spots) is that how red merles look when they're born or is it safe to say the pups are blue merle?

  • I think it is safe to say they are blue merle, yeah.

I wish I could have an Aussie again.

  • if a dog is gona be a sheperd then they dont want the dogs tail gettin in the way if its not a sheperd then it can keep the tail i hava aussie she got her tail

  • LOL! With strength that this dog jumped was good... LOL!

  • is her name lilly?

  • why does she have a tail???

  • um why not? normaly dogs have a tail.

  • Aussies are sometimes born without a tail or a partial tail, other are born with a full tail. Its common practice for breeders to dock the tail at a very young age for conformation/practical purposes, making it rare for you to see an aussie with a tail.

  • because australian sheperds are herding dogs so a tail would just get in the way and be a distraction.

  • most aussie's have their tails docked or are born without them as is the standard.

  • thanks, I had no clue cause most Aussie's over here still have their tail.

  • we could start a bet.

$100 that she will take it out there hahaha.

    very cute vid.

    xxx
