The 72 Names relate also to the decans of the zodiac, every field of the 12 signs is divided in 3 decans of 10 degrees each. That makes 36 double fields which relate to the 72 names or 36 double names. Then, if you read all the names and what they relate to, you find your own path trough your whole life step by step up to 72 years lifetime the last being Mumyia, the death and mumification. Yes, the Kabbalah originates from Mizraim, Egypt, that's why this last name refers to the mumy.
Kabbalists do not wear amulets since no real Kabbalist will ever be supersticious. Kabbalists peal the onion form out to inside and rebuild it the inverted way. The 72 names of the Shem HamPorash are allegroic and they describe inner states of consciouness. A psichanalyst will call that complexes. But, there is also a mathematical background on this set up by Pythagoras. But, this would be too ling to explain here. The 72 Names are calculated by Temurah, or permutation, of G-d's name, YHWH.
@HouseOfTheWay Click "Read More." I likewise do not hold to any intrinsic 'power' in these 'names.' Shalom, your accent is very unusual esp. when reading the verses. Was it you speaking or computer-generated, as some pronunciations sounded almost mechanically-precise? If not, what's the origin of your accent, natural-raised or learned? Doesn't sound like Yemeni I heard, but someone suggested more Arabic. Hope you don't mind me asking, just quite curious...
@omedyashar I take it you're Jewish (so am I) but I'm intrigued by these pronunciations. I've noticed differences from what I speak (ex. You pronounce a "ו" like a w, I was taught a v; and you pronounce a "ת" like th, I was taught a t). Are you Ashkenazic or Sephardic?
Thanks for the 72 Names and its pronounce. May I ask what kind of pronouciation is this? Is it old hebrew? I noticed that the sounds are differente from the modern one.
"And ULHÍM (corrupted as" Elohim ") more Mehushua said: Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Yaoshorul:
YÁOHUH ULHÍM of your fathers, the Ul Abruham the Yaohutzkhaq Ul and Ul Yaohukaf sent me unto you: this is My ►NAME◄ ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations."
The "AO" are not two vowels, but only the sound of an "A" tends to hollow "O", which does not have a corresponding graph in Portuguese, just for consistency is "THE".
@voice2hire What are you talking about? I uploaded this. And not only am I not trying to convert people to Islam by this video, but I even have videos explaining why I am not convinced of Islam. Who told you that non-sense, and what reasonable person would believe it? Sad.
@omedyashar not quite sure either how hebrew can lead to islam? It's not like Islam and Judaism have always been best friends even if they're related :)
@zackhashable Teaching people who to pronounce G-d's Name does not equate to saying His Name in vain. This is explicit in halakha. Please see the video "Destroying G-d's Name." I actually lean towards the Rambam's position regarding such "names."
@zackhashable In Actuality the only way to take Gods name in vain is when you never accept him as your Lord and Saviour and when you die your fate is sealed by your own will. which leads to eternal damnation and that is taking the lords name in vain. search the scriptures and find out for your self. it is there.
Thank you so much for this video, I hope we can change with the help of the 72 names the world and ourselves to become more connected to G'd and holiness.
did you chose to read in yemenite hebrew pronunciation? thats very interesting to me, bacause you dont look like a yemenite jew... about the video.. i didnt understand- its kabalistic names [of god as you say] but i know that some people has some of these names or just one- as a charm(or amulet) around them for protection.. and im not sure that its ok for people to know the meaning...
@omedyashar Praise be unto YHWH, the ultimate life source of all, and the provider of peace, love, and light. ive personally felt his energy, and heard his calming, ever so truthful words. its kept me out of a lot of trouble and protected me when i was in trouble. truly YHWH is the supreme energy of the universe. peace and blessing my brother.
@preachinshawn The Torah does not prohibit pronouncing the Name so lon gas it is pronounced reverently, and unconnected to idolatry. It was widely pronounced reverently until the ancient righteous leaders of Israel saw that heresy and idolatrous beliefs were spreading among the people of Israel.
@preachinshawn, You are quite correct. Also, You'll note that the meaning of these are quite absurd; for example starting with the 1st trigramaton one reads: nodded, willie, span, youth, mahesh, le, father, dark, z, ald, leo, hhtz, wiesel, structure, smell, establish, leo, tools, wu, pohl, go, hey, word, capital, etc. Shalom,
Heh-heh-heh! One time I had a meditational practice of staring at one of those charts of these verses arranged into a grid pattern, while I listened to a recording of them slowed down super-megaslow and followed along with my eyeballs. I would do this right before the customary morning reading of the song at the sea, which ought to be done following the YishtabaH blessing, before sunrise.
@dawahaddict I'm glad you noticed I put it in quotes. They've been given mystical significance among students of "Kabbalah." I don't advocate study of Kabbalah among the masses, but someone paid me to make this video, and I think it's useful for learning to read Hebrew letters with vowels. This take on the 72 letter name is contrary to the Rambam's understanding. The 72 "names" in the video do not have any intrinsic halakhically binding holiness in so far as TALMUDIC Judaism is concerned.
@omedyashar I'm fairly sure this Kabbalistic approach of 72 "names" is based on a statement in the Talmud regarding a 72 LETTER name of G-d. In the Judeo-Aramaic of the Talmud, sometimes "name" refers to a letter, and "letter" can potentially refer to a "name" as well.... depends on context. ...I myself am against irrational use of words and letters. I think it comes dangerously close to explicitly forbidden practices (ahum.. witchcraft)...
@omedyashar ....as for the Talmud's statement regarding a 72 letter - name... I lean towards the understanding presented by the Rambam that this is in reference to a list of 72 words that form a concise yet deep contemplation on the significance of the 4 letter name YHWH.
Being that these are 3 verses in a row that consist of exactly 72 letters each, and when paralleled together as explained in the video you do get some meaningful combinations... I do think that there may be some special purpose to these 3 verses in a row being 72 letters each... but I don't have a clue as to the exact reason for it and what's to be learned from it.
@omedyashar ...one of the interesting things is that the first 3 letter combination that has meaning is the combination of 3ayin lamed mem, which spells "world" or "universe." Then after that 2 other combinations immediately stand out: a place where "yud" lines up in all 3 verses ( yud yud yud)... and then where "heh" lines up in all 3. This spells a real name of G-d: YAH; "3olam YAH" = G-d's Universe or G-d's world.
@omedyashar Look at what that horrible celebrity Madonna did to Kabbalah! She cheapened it and made it into something trendy and phony! I'm with you on that one: the masses should leave Kabbalah to people who know whereof they speak!
@dogloverNV -MADDONA HAS GREAT WEALTH AND STARRDOM AND USES HER MONEY TO HELP ORPHNS AND OTHERS...SHE GIVES OF HER WEALTH AND KABBALH HIMSELF GAVE HER THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET WEALTH....SO HOW IS IT THAT YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE SO SPECIAL THAT YOU ARE THE ONLY PRIVALEDGED SOUL AND OTHERS CANT BENEFIT FROM KABBALAH...WHEN DID YOU HELP AN ORPHAN ? WHEN DID YOU GIVE MILLIONS TO FEED STARVING CHILDREN ? JEHOVAH DECIDES WHO HE BLESSES AND WHO DOSENT RECIEVE BLESSING...MAN KNOWS NOTHING BUT PRIDE & SIN
@1962mikie What Madonna practiced (she recently left Kabbalism for Catholic spirituality) was not traditional Kabbalism. I have spoken with traditional Rabbis about this, so this is a fact. You need to check your facts before you spout off at the mouth. Are you suggesting that one has to help an orphan before they pass the Mikie-says-you-are-a-good-person test? @dogloverNV _are you better than maddonna ? are you more Holy than She ? How Phony is her heart towards charity ? will she inherit the kingdom of heaven ? we will all be Judged for our deeds and you quite frankly cannot judge maddonna or any other person on earth !!! you must Judge yourself and see what changes you can make to you!!! traditional rabbis may know about kabbalah and its workings..But they to fall short to judge another Soul!!!only God can do this!!!Compare yourself to JESUS!!????
I love the videos you make, and I have one question. I am not particularly clever, and my knowledge of Torah is fairly basic, so I focus mostly on written and oral Torah at basic levels. Is this fine, for now, while I get groundings, or should I challenge myself more. Thanks.
Mem is one of the letters that has a different appearance at the end of words. Since I made the video for learning and these "names" are not actual words in Hebrew but just combinations of letters, so sometimes I put the different ending form and sometimes I didn't, to help people get use to the concept.
