How much did it cost you? Even the educational license costs too much to buy without knowing the basics! (but then if you got the educational license, I guess you'd be at collage, who would teach you anyway) Buy a few books for it. I recommend the 3ds max bible for reference, then 3ds max at a glance for light reading... They don't cost much compared to the license you just paid for..

I thought the finished result was amazing for your third. Outstanding rendering for someone starting out.
But, what impressed me just as much, was the fluent camera movement. Very smoothly done. Very well done.
