  • Really amazing creativity and craftsmanship. I was looking for ancient Chinese burial tombs and found this.

  • @niamtxiv, thov txeeb sij hawm sib txuas lus puas tau? Thov email; Kuv yog ib tug me nyuam Hmoob xav paub tej koj tso no kom meej, thiab.

  • @niamtxiv.I see a small clip in hmong variety tape#4, where one gentleman who collected some old items in his little museum,I do see lot of clay jars and some other items that are still identical to what you have shown in this video.

  • hey those images from 3:40 to 3:51 looks exactly like those found on Hmoob paj ntaub...so maybe it is really true that we hide our language in paj ntaub...can u tell me where you got those images?

    thanks

  • @MrPebyoghmoob

i looked the pictures up in google and baidu, a chinese website... copy paste and search 大汶口文化.

i have a feeling Hmong have many origins - two ancient cultures, the Dawenkou of Yellow and the Daxi of Yangtze.

  • Good job but there needs to be a better dating scale. What about b.c(before Christ). There are datings of the Hmong people way before the mioa and where they came from.

  • Can I get the image on 3:37?

  • this is what i like to know. thank you niamtxiv.

  • nice song.

  • when the shaman King is reborn into this world again he will raise an army to cleanse this world of any evil fighting fire with fire...and he will again unite all the shamans thus uniting the people of all shaman races over the world....He is in America and he will first bring his shaman brothers from the west together...thereforth back to his land to save his people...

  • @PcXiong559 hmmm i've heard of this too and seen a few rare pics of him... i still think it's a rumor though. i even heard of his whereabouts too. but like i said i still think he may not be and is a rumor.

  • @PcXiong559

Dude, the memo I sent out was "top secret, hush hush". You're not supposed to broadcast my plans out to reincarnate Chiyou out to the world, let alone Youtube! Now you've gone and done it. I told you all about the Neutrality Act of 1794. Did you already forget??!

  • I like this song! N great Video!

  • very cool i really like it, this is first time i see the background of Hmoob les naav hab ntawv.

  • Interesting. The song was a perfect choice. maineng hu tau nkauj zoo mloog heev li. tu siab vim nw yuav txiv lawm es tsis hu nkauj lawm. thanks to your vid i learn some new stuff. :]

  • Has the Jiuli script been deciphered yet? Is there an impetus among Hmong-Mienh to re-adopt it?

  • I don't think Hmong-Mienh will able to re-adopt it since the meaning of the scripts have been lost for more than 5000 years. The language of the Miao-Yao also have been changed for many centuries. Listening to all Miao dialects, there are difficulty among all dialects. Language cannot unite the Miao people, except songs, stories, history and common cultural artifacts.

  • Would the Ahmao script work for other Miao-Yao languages? Frankly, I don't like the Latin script at all.

  • I think so. I don't like Latin script either. Maybe we would find other types of writing for hmong. Ahmao script does work for hmong language but not for Yao. I have tried using Ahmao script to write Hmong and it works very well and also beautiful.

  • hey.... niamtxiv what happen to all your video?...couldnot find its in your files.

  • did the dawenkou culture merge with the culture of shang dynasty too?

  • I'm not so sure. The Shang dynasty flourished along the same region, but maybe at a different period. The Hmong were also part of Shang Dynasty, because during that time, the Hmong ancestors were still living in the east. They didn't move to the Yangtze region until the beginning of Zhou period.

  • niamtxiv you know so much about Hmong Sauv (Chinese).... are you from Hmong-Chinese yourself...?? see alot in these Hmong chines video. Have hear about the Luhu people too?? they live along with Hmong.

  • Nyob zoo xiongly24, kuv poj koob yawg koob yog suav tiamsis kuv tsis yog. Kuv yog hmoob thiab mab. Lahu are part of the Tibetan-Lolo family groups. They live among the Hmong and Mien in Laos and were also part of the CIA recruitment during the Vietnam War.

  • Are you saying that you are Lahu? Would you mind telling me about yourself? And why you know so much about hmong history? (Thankyou in advance).

  • nyob zoo Niamtxiv and thanks a lot. so where are the Lahu people mostly located in the U.S on a days??

  • at :40, theres a mountain on the map named 会稽山, and i wondered if there were any Yao people living there at that time =]

  • long ago, according to Chinese history, the Miao and Yao came from the same ancestors. I don't know, but that what Chinese history indicated. I am puzzled that our people have been living together for thousand of years.

  • I have been told the exact same thing.

  • My mother and father told me that the Mien have always been living side by side with the Hmong. From China, to Vietnam and Thailand and etc... There was an event where one Mien King united the Mien and Hmong people to fight against the Ancient Chinese. Then, during the Guizhou Uprising, the Mien and Hmong united again by Wu Tian Bao to fight against the Chinese in southwest China.

  • We Mienh have been told the same thing. As for the war, I have heard of a battle that consisted of Hmong and Mienh, but I dont know if it was enforced by a Mienh leader, so that I cannot verify for sure. Where did you read this?

  • There was even a time when the Hmong and Mien fought against Mongol troops. I read just a small piece of history written by a Hmong who went to China. In his work, he wrote the name of the Mien king, who united the Hmong and Mien. Later, there were other times when Hmong and Mien also came together to fight against the Chinese armies.

  • Yes, I believe I read the battle of the Hmong and Mienh against the Mongols, but never the other ones; thanks for the information.

  • wow i never knew this =]

and do you know the name of the Mien king?

  • I'm pretty sure they are the same, not to be rude, because if you listen closely, you can almost hear a similar dialect

  • great video and very eduacational, thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you for the informative video. The Yangshao culture also has similar symbols, found on potteries, discovered in eastern part of Qinghai province and southern Gansu provinces, believed to be the birth place of Yanshao culture and Hua Xia people. The cultures of the past were definitely connected. I can't help to wonder that this might indicate the process of Hua-Xia'lisation.

  • Yes, I believe long ago, most cultures were connected. I was so surprised when I took a course in Ancient Chinese arts. I've learned so much, but there are things that puzzled me and I'm still questioning some of these things. You are correct. There might be a process in which some of these ancient cultures assimilated into the Hua Xia culture.

  • Thank you Niamtxiv for sharing this wonderful video.

  • Good Job =)

  • Nicely done, friend.

  • Intresting Thanks
