I worked at a college radio station when "Big Lizard in My Backyard" came out, we promoted it heavily and I saw them on their 1st New England tour in Providence, RI. We hung out after the show, absolutely great guys, one and all.

Just my opinion... This was the tail end of punk. It began mid-70's and then died a painful death. Replaced by grunge and people who thought they were punk but weren't. Not knocking Green Day (I applaud their Broadway success) but when they think they're punk I stop believing in Santa. Punk was a moment which wasn't even appreciated much at the time.
