@dimesach Unfortunately, not every one has thousands of dollars to throw around, so simunition is out of the question. Also, Airsoft is a fun sport, and I know plenty of former service members who play it. Its a fun and "relatively" cheap way to shoot at other people. Your argument on "make believe war" also holds no water, as you admited to using simuntion rounds which is the same as airsoft in terms of a bare bones look a like.

Nowadays there is no point because people are getting shot less, so know they buy guns for the fun of it, and most people DON'T have gun licenses, which you NEED, and sometimes take while to get, and in most states it's illegal, to get these guns, infact it's almost impossible to get gun licenses for anything more than a handgun. You need to get into gun clubs for years to get most guns...
