  • @Tcelectronic That Doppler effect is there an upgrade for the tc nova where I can get that ?

  • @Jeepjones85 The Nova has just been updated with new presets, they can be downloaded from our website. - I don't think that the mentioned effect is part of it though, but you might be able to achieve something like it with one of the delays in the Nova..

  • Sounds awesome !

  • at 4:05 he says "I programmed the exp pedal as toggle switch" to go the leslie speed ramp thing. How do you program it that way?

I only know how to assign an exp pedal to control speed but i don't get anywhere close to how it sounds on the video? mine goes without "time delay" speeds up/slows down as my foot moves..

Hope my description makes sense.. :)

Please help if anyone knows how:)

    cheers!

  • does the iB modified version include the updated effects that were included in this one?

  • @KG739 I'm not sure.. Please ask our support?

  • this effects touch my g-spot! ba dum tsh

  • Sören is one of the coolest sounding guitarists out there!

I am now a proud owner of the G-System.

By the way, the "red t-shirt theory" worked great last night!

  • his guitar is so freakin' tiny!!! XD

  • The G -system has an intelligent pitch shifter, I believe it has 2 voices. Does that mean you can do major 3rds above and below for queen like harmonies, or fifths and so on? I can not find a video any where with someone using the intelligent pitch shifter like the digitech harmony man. Does it track as well and will there be a video showing its capabilities at all? If it is as good/better I will most likely purchase the G-system as this is the main thing that is currently hindering my decision.

  • @mitrismaster02 Please visit our forum or support.

  • @mitrismaster02 It does do harmonies of choice. It took me a long time to figure out how to program the harmonies, a keyboard player explained to me how!! Hahaha! You can program 2 voices incrementally, so it sounds out of tune. I didn't understand how each incremental step was programmed. Easier to see than to understand. It tracks real well, I've used it for pentatonic harmonies, scalar, and for the solo in Owner Of A Lonely Heart (5th and octave up).

  • @tonepoet my guess it you program it up in semitones? either way, is there a video any where of it? Or can you make a video showing its capabilities ;)

  • Hi,

I noticed you were using the Boss FV-500H as the expression pedal.

I am thinking about getting one for my g-system. Does it work with your average 1/4" jack or does it need to be stereo like the mission expression pedals?

    Thanks for your help!

  • @muzzareth you need a stereo cable : ) and you need to turn on the pedal facility in the G then calibrate the pedal the Boss works great : )

  • @bigbadgsy sweet thanx man!

    Getting it tomorrow :)

  • Hi Can I control the Triaxis with the G System. The effects of this system are much better than the Fractal Fx..

  • @Japsem G-System uses the standard midi protocol so it can can control other effects, but to be dead sure please read the manuals and/or contact our support.

  • @tcelectronic My G system sucks. The effects were great when it worked. But it's broken and now TC Electronics charges $350 flat rate repair bill. Are you joking!!!!! This thing costs more than my first car and its $350 no matter whats wrong with it. Jesus Christ at least spit on it before you ram it in. Oh and there support department took 2 weeks returning my email due to a "high number of requests for support." Hmmmm more broken products perhaps.

  • @Japsem Yes you can I had that setup with the previous version

  • Hi Can I control the Triaxis with the G System.

  • SImply the sounds of my dreaaaaaaaammm!!!!!!

    amazing

but please tell me what is this guitar???? i want to get the whole set

  • @DNADanny That's a Yamaha SG. Great guitars.

  • how many external midi devices can be controlled with the g-system ?

  • @p9hunter G-System uses the standard MIDI protocol to control other MIDI controllable devises. check our support page on our website, or contact our support team.

  • The tone in the intro is by the far the SEXIEST tone on the fucking earth.

  • a few quick questions, i have an Orange and a Hiwatt amp... can i use the G-system as a multi effects and a line-selecter all in one?

like, for instance, use the left output for the orange and the right output for the hiwatt?

can i use different effects over the right and left channel?

    thank you in advance :)

    grz from Amsterdam

  • @tapilaha yes the G-system can switch amps, and amp channels too. check the manual for information on how to set up the G-system.

  • Yes the G System has a lot of options and it takes a while to understand and utilize everything. Sorry to hear that it didn't update correctly right away. The latest software is 4.02. Your systems current software is displayed once you connect power. For support on G System updates, please contact tcelectronic support

    tcelectronic/jens

  • Hi there, I just got the G-System and its really a fantastic unit. I have not fully understood it yet..but am getting there. I wanted to know, I tried updating the software, but while connecting it, my Mac does not seem to reconize the unit. I tried everything from unplugging to restarting but still does not work. Is there anything else I can do? and does this unit really need to be updated?

  • oh and please demo the Jimi Hendrix octavia type tone. Can you achieve anything like that with the G System octavia? Those extreme added highs etc. Any i would love to see all the wah pedals / effects demos in the G System. Are they worth 2 cents, or would a real wah be better. Im wanting one of these pedals, but want to cover myself in regards to quality on soem effects i use a lot, like univibe, octavia, 1960/70s wah tone. etc

  • please can you put up a video quick smart with the univibe where use use different settings like depth etc. The demo here was nice, but you didnt show anything other than a very very subtle speed control of the univibe. A good univibe pedal always is defined by that lovely throb / depth control. That was not shown here at all. I want one of these pedals, but would love to see the univibe demo more indepth. Pleaseeeee! KR Musical MegaVibe throb, can you set the G System univibe to go DEEP!

  • Hi

The best you can do is contact TC support with the serial number at hand.

Difficult to say how long the G-System has been on a shelve in the store.

    tcelectronic/jens

  • how do i know if i'm getting the new version with the new input section? serial numbers or what? cause if i'm gonna get one i want the new one were i can just plug right into the front of the amp!!!

  • @bossgtdiez10 its red

  • @philipkors well the new non red versions also come with the new circuitry and my question was leaning towards those units. thanks for the come back though. is there an answer for that question? serial number or what?

  • Can this be used with the 4 cable method?

  • @Fbregy it has 3 loops for distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals and a preamp loop, especially for the 4 cable method or to use seperate preamp and power amps

  • First of all: it's rat

  • Stephen Percy?

  • £1200.??

  • I want it I want it I want it, she said you caaaan't have it baby. =(((

  • I just spent $1200 on the G System and have some important questions that need to be answered. I've called three times with no avail.... how can I go about getting my questions answered? I will be sending you a personal message on here with my specific issue.

  • @GaryJohnsonMusic you spent $1200, in the uk it will cost £1200 that sucks!

  • I have one :)

  • tc gear is definitely premier DNA guitar gear! except no substitute!

  • It sounds fuckin great !

  • I only need this and a dual rectifier LOL

  • wHOOAH :D Amazing ;)

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is cool. He always gives good demos. Now, if only TC could make this unit weigh less. Racked up in a case it is VERY heavy with other pedals and the power and all that.

  • Question: I've bought this sys and havent hooked it up yet. Plugging my guitar into this thing and then to my head doesnt make much sense, i dont wanna run my effects before my dist. If i run it thru the effects loop, how do i use the wah and other pre dist effects on the g-system, seems like a limitation. Can you rout the effects on this sys to particular loops or are the loops on the sys only pre effects?

  • 上手い!!

  • aburrida demotraxion

  • Is that true, that the Input section is new designed, cause I have the "normal" one, Jear old and I use it with my Bogner XTC. But I think it´s wired to say, that this is a new point of the red one. I think every G-System have not to colour the sound at the end, what do you think ???

  • Ok, the delay on his voice is fucking annoying.

  • Say i'm using three different distortion pedals, and i want each of them indivudually programed to work with the different presets - is this possible, or do you have to switch the loop on on the top of the board? thanks :)

  • @gazuul No need to tap them individually. They're all assignable to the presets so you could make the same preset multiple times and switch OD pedals, awesome feature IMHO. I'm definitely saving for one after testing one out.

  • So it has got 4 relay inputs. Does that mean that I can use the g-system to control the channel, the contour and the reverb switching? (1 switch for each thing). That'd be amazing..

  • @PatrikForLife Hiya, Yes... you can control up to four different features of your amp using the G-System relays.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • @tcelectronic Hey Joey, I cant find one of these online.. Point me in the right direction! Also answer these peoples questions with all the thumbs up, It might convince me to get a Prism as well.

  • awesomejohnnet Everything about the G system sounds good except the actual sound... sounds a big rinky dink, maybe its the mike they are using all the vids sound thin.. after a good listen I see that the unit has potential but it needs a bit more R+D..

  • @awesomejohnnet Well I pulled the trigger and bought one. The red limited series. May God Help me now trying to decipher that manual.

  • Just tested it yesterday with my ocd in one loop. Sound really really great ! plugged in a laboga tube ampfor the test. The delays are amazing, reverb sounds spacey as hell. love thename off the preset "master of rack" or something ^^ * Ive said, "hay thats a bit preetious ^^ however thats a Tc piece of gear so they have the rights :p

  • That Doubler with the detuning just sold me on it! Holy shit!!

  • How would Koch amps differ from the Bogner Custom Shop amps?

  • @speedRickspeed: the amps are Koch studiotones

  • can't get over how good this mp sounds.

  • @chooch187 It does have it's negatives. Latency issues with several active effects. Also the volume "pedal" if you use an expression pedal is not smooth. You can hear the increments. No wonder Peter Thorn uses an ernie ball volume pedal in addition. But the wah in it does not have the "increments". Wah is good. Also it does not have an analog delay type which is very popular in most effect processors. Other things is that you cannot change the placement of the effects and volume pedal.

  • Yup. Better get separate analog pedals.

  • already got that ;-) The chorus is too overwelming(in overdrive/distortion) in the g-system, so I got a Boss CH-1 (the old analog version, pre oct' 2001), fits better. But enough of the rant. I still LOVE the unit! The rest is very very good!! It's a heavy unit made to last, not like the light cheapo plastic effects processors out there. The delays and reverb are good. I love the verstitilty of the g-system; loops, effects, midi, etc etc. And it is RED!!! cool!

  • what amp is he playing?

  • @speedRickspeed Kosh amplifiers.

  • @knikk77

    Koch* not Kosh .. ;) It's a Dutch brand.

  • @DemoColorScheme Yes your right. :-) They seem pretty good those amps, small and good tone.

  • @speedRickspeed

Koch amps. It's a Dutch brand.

  • Makre sure if you are connecting this to a Mesa that is has a series effects loop... they are designed for that, and if you have a rect. with a parallel loop, this is not the unit for you... I had to get a new mes triple with a series loop; it makes the difference !

  • @straybullet81 You seem to know a bit about it. I have a JVM410H...And I just change chanels (not by midi). Will it work?

  • With software features you mean the new effects and updates?

    Just to be sure.

  • Is there any plan of a new "G-System 2" soon? 2010 maybe? Im planning to get one, and I dont want to be surprised with a new model after spending 1300€...

  • @Alvarorsc12 I have the red version. I bet this summer NAMM they are going to put the effects section of the G-major II in a new version of the G-system.

  • Hope you're right!

  • is soren using the nova drive for all the OD/Dist examples???

  • Yes, I think so, He's using the nova drive in Loop nr 1. At 4:23 you can see the wiring. I'm not sure though if they use the nova drive in all of their videos but it seems logic that they do. Since they want to sell it as much as possible :P

  • Hey Joey, where can we get info on the mod? Thx...

  • Will they do an update for the standard one with the new features? Until I have saved enough, this one will be sold out!

  • what's the price of this? I couldn't find it

  • @keem85m same as the regualr G

  • about $ 2212,57

  • $1500 you get for $1350

  • So, what you are saying is that the silver G system is now obsolete?

the effects and new presets are available by using the 4.02 upgrade, but this new circuitry seems to be a must! I was planning to buy a G system the day after tomorrow, but now I think perhaps not, since it will be colouring the tone of my rig, which is fabulous! I did'nt know the G system (silver) had tone colouring issues.

Damn, I have the money and everything!

The red one is out of reach for the time being...

  • I have a G-system and use it in stereo with a MESA Triple rectifier and a Carvin TS100 power amp. I use the MESA and the Carvin and have the outputs going to the Gsys in stereo and use the Doubler effect.......wow. Sounds very nice and full.

  • man, please, Im looking for a set up like yours... could you show me a diagram? thank u!

  • Not sure what you need as far as a diagram. If you own a G-system there is no need to diagram what I explained. In order to use the doubler effect you need to have to amps. One in the 4 cable method and the other one uses the other output from the Gsys to the 2nd amp.

  • @vhalen101 but you are amplifing he effected signal in the 2nd amp, arent u?

  • correct....I have the 2nd output going to another power amp. So, 4 cable method with one MESA TripRecto and using 2nd output going to a Carvin TS100 Power amp. Sounds VERY nice. Hope that helps

  • I can only dream about getting one of this :-(

  • I want this guys job he is kind of a tool. He gets too excited about sounding like he is stuck in the 80's. The doubler is a cool effect but you guys are not giving us enough still. IF you wanted to re release the g system it should have had better sampling than 44.1k. More than just a Uni-Vibe and Doubler added to the board. TRUE BYPASS! I dont know how the new circuit holds up though. I just think hype over 2 new effects and it being red isnt enough guys. Ill be happy to help you out though.

  • everybody wants this guys job lol,the problem w the g system will always be the price,i prefer to spend the money on a good guitar or amp never on effects

  • Best expression pedal money can buy is the Moog MP-201. My personal opinion ofcourse but it is so versatile and elegantly built. Great addision to any rig.

  • would be nice to hear an A/B between the guitar straight into the amp and through the G System to demonstrate the new analog circuit. This was the reason for me selling the silver...

  • is TC ever coming out with their expression pedals anytime soon? if not, what do you recommend?

  • Hiya,

No, theyre not coming out. Weve unfortunately shut down the project due to difficulties getting quality parts. The Ernie Ball Stereo 25k Expression pedal and the Boss FV500L will both work fine.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • @tcelectronic

How to connect the ernie ball to control the wha effect on a G-system? thanks.

  • just ordered my red one tonight. i hope american musical supply gets them in when they say. june 11th.

  • nov 11th. oops. lol.

  • Damn I have GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • are we gonna get this on the new firmware for the normal g systems?

  • How about giving us G system owners a really BIG discount on a new system?

    A monster trade-in, incentive?

  • @willievega

yes man, I have the "old one" and would like to buy the new one but only if there is kind of a discount....

  • Yeah, but does the signal going in remain analoge? How would it, after it's affected by, say digital reverb?

Hey TC, take care of us who busted our asses to by a system like this already.

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE all of your videos...Your effects are so killer and I am very AMAZED by the quality of all of them....Ray

  • When will you have G-system with OVERDRIVE?

  • Hiya,

The Nova Drive is made as the perfect companion for the G-System :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • yes, so does the VPD1 (wich is a very good pedal btw, and i demo it on my videos) but a built-in nova drive inside the G-system would be the ultimate machine.

  • Perfect companion for any rig. LOVE my Nova Drive in my rack setup, amazing.

  • Hey Joey (.. :-))!

There is any plan to put a 12 volt output in the G System to power the Nova Drive?

This is the only missing thing you neet to get the holy grail on guitar effects.

  • Hiya,

There are no plans to do this that I know of at this time.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • Hey Joey, What about the new reverb algorithms? Are these going to be in a firmware update for "Legacy" G systems? Wow, 1st time i've used that term!!!!!! The univibe sounds great as well!!!

  • Hiya,

    Yes :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • are these effects clsoe to what is in the Gmajor 2 or are these even more advanced

  • Is this true .. ? That the input section has changed much?

  • I think a doubler should have always have different delay times and a slight chorus, so the doubles are just slightly out of time and undetectably out of tune

  • Impresionante YAMAHA SG 2000 y Soren player.

  • Bravo Soren, you're a great player!

    Very nice sounds, brilliant demo.

  • excellent..
