@paolomagnimel There's lots of different kinds of swing dances. East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop are two forms of swing dance. Boogie Woogie is a European footwork styling. It's considered it's own dance, but it's pretty much the same as East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop.
@ThePsychoCandy The more you practice, the better you can become. Practicing with a regular partner has some benefits, but you should also social dance (or dance with lots of other people) to understand lead and follow.
Nope, I love French Modern Jive and WCS, but this really doesn't appeal. Best left to the kids and those with access to a reliable supplier of whatever it takes.
It's from a san francisco band called The Swing Session. And on their CD of the same name, at amazon. Almost all their songs are swing standards though so written and originally performed by others. Cheers, JF.
Their name used to be The Swing Session and now it's Stompy Jones. They have albums under both names. They're just amazing! They write wonderful original music and pick great standards. :)
