yes the apple moth is an invasive species and invasive species are very dangerous to native plant and ecological systems as they can completely deplete it. however, spraying toxins is only a temporary solution and i am sure there are better alternatives to fighting this invasive species.

We breathe in airborne toxins far more harmful than this particular pesticide every time we leave our house. I find this preferable to the alternative of widespread annihilation of our produce crops. Think about it. Buying a 5 dollar head of lettuce sounds no less infuriating than the 5 dollar gallons of gasoline we were forced to pony up for a few months back.

I'd much rather have the moth than the moth poison. Marin County is trying to stop the spray but we could use more help. If you live in the Bay Area please get involved! Let Arnold know he could be a "real" hero, not just a movie hero, if he puts an end to this. He has kids, too! We don't want to be fumigated!

I think this doesn't have anything do with moths. It has to do with poisoning an area known to be heavily progressive. It's biological warfare by our current administration on people who don't agree with it's backwards policies.

I became very ill after the spraying in Pacific Grove, suffering repeated asthma attacks which began about two hours the spraying.I left for two months, two weeks at a time, but always becoming ill again upon returning. No asthma problems the two weeks I was in Sacramento, or Fresno.After two months my symptoms were better,not gone. If the spray continues we will have to close our business, our employees will not have jobs,our community service-award winning insurance agency. We will leave CA

I know someone who got extremely sick from the sprayings in Santa Cruz and has now moved to New Mexico.

I think the Fed Govt. isn't trying to eradicate this moth that hasn't done any agricultural damage but they are trying to eradicate us!
