People in the U.S. for example associate Amsterdam with hookers and weed. In 10 minutes this video captures the Amsterdam that I have come to know after living here almost 2 years. More people need to see this video to help change the image Hollywood and lately Fox News have placed in peoples minds. Thanks

one of the greatest and most friendly cities on the planet! The Old City just seemed like a non-stop party, especially Leidseplein, Rembrandtplein and the Red Light District! Loved all the charming cafes lining the canals and the beautiful old architecture. Amsterdam is like a heaven on earth for the open minded! Cant wait to go back again... really enjoyed this video is it brought many of my memories back to life!

@MrGatomatic No they are not going to close them down. The national government is implementing a nationwide cannabis card system so that only those who have the card can go into the coffeeshops. However, the cities are fighting especially Amsterdam. Last I heard, here in Amsterdam the hotels will be able to issue temporary cannabis cards to registered guests so basically that effectively provides a work around. Its really a stupid regulation that will fail very soon hopefully.

I have been to Amsterdam a few times very friendly with great R n B, reggae clubs went to nearly all of them except an Arab or Moroccan owned one not sure? The owner was a Muslim. We were turned away which didn’t bother me the Dutch speak English in many cases better than the British I’ll be going back this year. If you’re into reggae music outside the UK Amsterdam is one of the best places in Europe for reggae music.
