2009 ford mustang vs 2006 Nissan Sentra Se-r Spec V

mustang was faster in this race but unfortunatly if spec also had an intake and tune(uprev/osrisus, apexi safc blah blah) and a good driver woulda probolly won

for the spec v haters..

i raced my friends 1998 mustang svt (305 hp) and i beat him till 60 mph when my spec top end slowness kicked in,he passed me around 65 mph by 3 car lengths,off the line the spec is so light and quick i couldn't believe i was kicking ass.

@Storm7289 yes lol,he is my friend....me and him were at a light with a riced integra (i dont know him) and I took off the line ahead of both of them,my friend says he wasn't ready for the light but I still took him.the integra was about 3 bus lengths behind us.

@Storm7289 it can't? i was not aware of that,I beat a 328i beamer a few weeks ago (230hp v6) in high 4th gear i smoked it..we were even the whole way until i flew by it.

also I didn't beat a cobra,i just pulled on it,he took me at around 60 MPH by 2 car lengths.

spec v has some speed if you launch it right,i guess i know how to launch it and i shift at the right time (plus my car weighs 2700 lbs.)

@specvnismo06 no, a spec v can not beat a v6 mustang (did you watch the video? cause that would answer the question.)... it wasn't the driver, you can even hear ME spinning a good bit on the drag. The s197 mustang is just plain faster than the spec v....

@BrainWrapFilms hey that's your opinion,I was ahead of a svt mustang v8 until he flied by me at 60.

a V6 mustang is SLOW and HEAVY...you seem very biased on this issue...spec v has 150 whp at best on a dyno and 165 tq but it is very light,I beat a 328i with just an intake...so if you disagree fine,but I have seen my results.

@specvnismo06 too me it sounds like he was messing with you and then stomped on it to make you look bad. im sorry but my friend 97 svt stock ran around a low 13 high 12. He was my neighbor since i was 6 so i know exactly what he had on the car when he raced the only thing he added was some tires and a short shifter. spec v's arent exactly very light. If they were a coupe they could be a bit lighter. and i've raced the guy in this video with me in his car.. same result. mustang shit on it.

@BrainWrapFilms well that's wonderful if it sounds to you that way,but he is my best friend and it was a real race...I launched my car just right  and pulled ahead of him...the spec v is a light car,2700 lbs for a 4 door car is not heavy..a scion tc with 2 doors less weighs about the same...I'm not going to argue semantics with you because we will get nowhere...mustangs are overrated in my opinion,but you're clearly pro mustang so let's leave it there.

@specvnismo06 all im saying is that more than likely it wasn't your car's quickness it was more than likely due to driver error on the mustangs part....... a corvette zr1 vs a D15 civic will lose if it stalls on the line.. that doesn't mean the civic is faster than a zr1

@specvnismo06 it's capable of a loss... just not to a car with a horsepower-to-weight ratio of a spec v... i'll make it easier for you.. find a S197 mustang v6 with a standard transmission in your town and post a vid of you racing it. i'm gonna guess the same results apply.... they are very common... shouldn't be too hard

@specvnismo06 and don't get me wrong, the spec v is a great car... if i wanted a 4 door i might have purchased one, but i have no children so a 2 door is great for me. sporty looking with a little pep to the motor. I'm sure your car is great man, i just really dont believe that stock for stock it can beat the S197 mustang. i would say that it all comes down to displacement but my dad has a 93 rx7 with a gt35R turbo (1.3L) and its a z06 killer... so i have first hand experience there.

@BrainWrapFilms for the record,I never claimed my sentra can whoop on any mustang on the road..I just said I beat my friends car from 0-60 then he flew by me...I've also pulled on other mustangs before,look on youtube for videos too,Mustangs are not that fast unless you build one or have the 8 cylinder ones...the 6 cyl ones are heavy and slow...and maybe i just have a factory freak :D

that 93 octane tune must do wonders for it to pull 2+ cars on the Sentra. i ran my buddies stock '07 V6 Mustang (A/T) in my Spec V (Nismo CAI, Magnaflow header, Nismo cat-back) and i pulled almost 2 cars on him

@TorqueJumper yup. and i forgot to mention my 130lb passeneger (camera man). More than likely evened out all the power from my current mods.
