I'm getting a Dean Dimebag Shadow ML guitar next Tuesday at GuitarCenter. Can't wait. Dean guitars is awesome and so is Pantera! Lol. Dimebag is my favorite guitarist. I hope he is still jamming even after death. Does the Floyd stay in tune even after doing brutal divebombs? I play in standard tuning so. Anyway, this is an awesome guitar, I got a Dean EVO Special in flame red and its awesome and I love it.

i got one of these beasts about two years ago... everything works excellent except the trem arm tending 2 loosen up on occasion [too many dive bombs i guess]. but i have beat the living behjezuz out of this thing, and it still plays like a champ. ive been playing for 13 years and i dont think i could ever play anything but a Dean ever again...

I just got this guitar myself

The 3 way selector oxidizes and gets crappy. I had to clean my contacts.

Also not sure the pickups are as bad as the pots. opening the back they are cheap micro chinese junk.

My Tone also is not functional I can not roll on or off tone by turning it ?

Anybody else on the tone control not working.

I will replace the pots and I am sure it will be even better of a guitar for a few bucks.

I've heard the stock pickups on those particular MLs suck balls. You've got to replace 'em with a '59 and either the Lawrence or Duncan. Nice guitar, though.

I have this guitar. I saw it at guitar center played it and it sounded great. It was pretty cheap too. But Guitar Center kept trying to price it up saying it was a discontinued guitar. They didn't give me a hardshell case for free with it either. So all around i think it was more than $800.

my friend has this guitar and its gay. its gay because its dean, and its gay cause it doesnt have seymour duncans like a dime guitar should. plus the factory action sucked and it had fret buzz so i had to set it up for him, dean makes shitty guitars, if you want a good dean expect to pay about 1000 dollars for a good dime guitar, not this piece of crap, for the 600 dollars it cost you could get an epiphone with active emgs.

if you want another dimebag, or another dean, i highly recommend the dean 79 ml, that melts in your hands when you play it, or trade your les paul in for a dime Dixie rebel(i think it looks cool because of the rebel flag), because with any dean you get better bang for your buck in quality, tone, sound, and feel. also i'm getting the 79 ml by christmas or later, that is a kick ass guitar in blueburst

yes, it is a floating tremolo. its pretty hard to tune and to restring because of the tension and stuff, but its worth it.
