I wish my mom were still alive to show her. This is how you got to Skagway. It wasn't just for fun.  Yes, people were accustomed to laughing more then and humor was encouraged.

It looked so real it makes one wonder if its real, great pictures, the lighting is so embracing, 54, I know someone that was born that year, why does the light of the fiftys still look different than today?

People seemed somehow at peace!

Ah, the good old days, LOL! This is great, thanks so much for sharing it. My husband really loves the old vintage travel footage so I will share that website with him! It just so happens that we will be embarking on an Alaskan Cruise leaving from the Port of Seattle in less than 2 weeks!

My how cruising has changed. People looked like they were having more fun and certainly the passengers were not fat. So nostalgic it put a lump in my throat.
