When I turned to look at the crowd behind me, their faces were bathed in a rosy glow. It was like looking through sunglasses. The point is, that ordinarily you can't look directly at the sun! Amazing, whatever you think!

It's all either made up uncheckable crap like this or it's mytholgised later and facts are added to the story or it's stuff like Jesus riding into town on a donkey, where the apostles actually go and borrow one just to fulfill the prophesy. Often really vague stuff is interpreted to fit prophesy, like every generation seeing their own time in Revelation for nearly 2000 years now, but Jesus never shows.

@ImagesByDavid He did in Acts 27 when he prophsied the safe arrival of the crew even tho the ship is wrecked in Acts 13 he prophesied a false-prophet would be blinded and so he was. Either way, people die for beliefs or ideals all the time; I wouldn't suggest they knew it not to be true, rather they didn't know if it was. Surely the point of religious faith is belief not knowledge; if you knew then faith would be irrelevent. There are things worth dying for that I couldn't proove were true.
