CHOKE! He seems like a nice guy. That said, the problem is that he is surrounded by those who keep enabling him to be lazy, pathetic, a goof. In general, he's a big joke who's life is nothing once this show goes off of the air. He has no real skills and doesn't want to take time to learn a trade but rather coasts through life with as little effort as possible. Without his brother, PJD, he'd be gone.

I think Mikey is funny, but being on stage is a big difference then being funny in person. He definitly can be funny on stage as well but like any profession needs practice.
