I hope for the sake of music that there is another DG, because if he dies (I have this feeling that he's immortal) we'll need one to keep us sane. He writes the best solos in the world. Only 1 guitarist imo can outplay him (I'm not talking about technical skill, but improvising and who hits the best notes), and that is Jimi Hendrix. But without a doubt I think David writes better solos and has a better tone.

I'm not gonna mention songwriting, cause music isn't a competition.

I'm sure it was! I bought the 3CD/2DVD set of Gilmour in Gdansk and watched the documentaries just the other day. It's very interesting to learn about some history of Poland, and it was nice to see Gilmour with Lech Walesa. I'm sure you people had a great night. It was unbelievable to see so many people attending this concert. I saw him in the Royal Albert Hall and yes, he's great! :-)
