@ismoxi because it brings attention to where your aiming the game appears 3D and creates distance the dot is on top of the screen and appears closer to you and somehow draws focus to where your aiming... I didn't use to use dots but I went to a friends house who doted his screen with a pen and loved it ... I wouldn't use pen but maybe washable marker :p

One problem, if you are long range sniping and the target is very far away then the kill dot will cover his entire body and you wont be able to get a head shot.

This is actually kinda cool. Say for example you're playing a game like call of duty mw2 where you have to aim to get your sights. With this you aim put it on your aim and now it's like having a sight when you hip fire. Not a bad idea.

I got a 52" Vizio TV and i have the kill dot on my TV. I've taken it off 100 times and its clean. I actually turned mine to make an X instead of a + sign because the + actually blocked the guy i was shooting at.

I made my own sticker by using a peice of tape and a permenate marker. It helps alot when blind firing the shotgun in Gears of War 2. I might get this tho it looks better. Never thought of how much this would help in other games like call of duty.

Sorry, but the real answer is no, Red Orchestra does not use center aiming, but a unique aiming system that's hard to describe in 400 chars. It's more realistic though and hip aim does not hit dead center, but wherever the gun points.

its not a cheating device, all it does is point out your line of fire so you don't have to iron sight in games like c.o.d. its actually a neat idea. its not perfect, most games have random bullet spray but it looks useful, its something ive tried doing myself with my eyes alone but this makes it easier
