As for a new album, DJ Ashba said he workiig on new song's with Axl everyday and has mentioned a "Christmas album." Which could mean a new album in December. I think well here new music later this year or next year at the latest. They have about 3 ablum's worth of material they could release.

Super song... Honestly... This could be on any GnR album and no one would mind. Chinese Democracy was pretty damn sweet for the most parts but naturally expectations were higher than anyone could ever achieve. I miss "real" GnR but personally I have nothing against Axel's Guns.

I can't believe people think this is so great. It's an ok tune in it's studio version, but after 15 years of waiting, it's hardly a masterpiece. That's true of most of the album. All the good songs have annoying soft parts like this one, and the rest of the songs are just crap.

The old band was one of the best of all time but the new band musically is excellent and the album Chinese Democracy is truly outstanding.I have sen the old band 4 times, met Slash and seen the new band twice.I like all of their music.Probably my favorite all time rock n roll band.
I was almost frightened to listen to this but he sounds pretty good, especially towards the end of the song. Amazing that he can still pull off those high pitched screams at his age.
i follow guns, and every time i can i go to their shows, i must tell you, axl didn`t miss anything, he is better than ever, his voicce is amaizing and makes you shake when he is on the stage, besides every one who was in the last show saw him touched, moved with each song, he has a new feeling. if you can go to see him live. axl didnt want to give up guitar based rock - there is a lot of that on Chinese Democracy. he just wanted GNR to keep growing and challenging themselves because stagnation kills creativity.
slash's approach was more formulaic, doing the same crunch rock over and over. if Axl had followed slash's approach, GNR would never have been anything more than Velvet Revolver.
I agree with ya. I hear alot of songs from Chinese on FM radio. The radio station I listen to when VR first came out said that Slash needed to do something different because he was too predictable.I do know if Axl would of listened to Slash about not wanting to play Sweet Child 'O' Mine because he hated it, it's hard telling what would of happened.With the challenging of GN'R Chinese is great and glad Axl didn't give up guitar-based.
Thanks ! I have thought about that also but I feel Axl has the right to keep the band name that him and Tracii Guns put together. Tracii and two others members left leaving Izzy and Axl and it wasn't changed then. It's Axl's legacy but I did think maybe after Guns N' Roses an added word for example-Afterglow.

Slash left in Oct. 1996 which because Axl had interest in industrial and electronic music and Slash said he'd return only if Axl decided to return guitar-based rock&roll. Duff,Dizzy and Chris were up for a change,not Slash so he walked.I don't know how anyone can blame Axl for a decission everybody else in the band was for except Slash.
Chinese Democracy is great..love every song. But Axl needs to get in your face like he used to on his performances in the past GNR performances. In the past he got in your face and people loved it, he needs to step it up!

Nightrain and Knocking on Heaven's Door from this show were INCREDIBLE!
Axl's voice has actually gotten better and much stronger since 2006. you can find lots of videos from the 2010 GNR tour of Canada and South America.
Also, there was a semi-acoustic show at the Rose Bar in the US. it was brilliant & some songs from there are here on Youtube too.

i follow guns, and every time i can i go to their shows, i must tell you, axl didn`t miss anything, he is better than ever, his voicce is amaizing and makes you shake when he is on the stage, besides every one who was in the last show saw him touched, moved with each song, he has a new feeling. if you can go to see him live. its just another rock album....not bad, not really great...after 250 years of waiting anyone expects a revelation, but that didnt happen...so, if you like it enjoy, if not hear the old stuff...there will never be a gnr like in the past, cause times are a changing....good night boys+girls....

axl used to wear an N.W.A hat onstage sometimes so obviously he loved the messages they were talking about. By the way im a black guy and i always loved G'N'R alot of early rap like ice cube, dr.dre, snoop dogg, and 2pac were great not like the shit now ( eminem, 50 cent amd the new dr.dre). the point im tryin to make is open ur horizons, peace out homies :p

axl didnt want to give up guitar based rock - there is a lot of that on Chinese Democracy. he just wanted GNR to keep growing and challenging themselves because stagnation kills creativity.
slash's approach was more formulaic, doing the same crunch rock over and over. if Axl had followed slash's approach, GNR would never have been anything more than Velvet Revolver.

I agree with ya. I hear alot of songs from Chinese on FM radio. The radio station I listen to when VR first came out said that Slash needed to do something different because he was too predictable.I do know if Axl would of listened to Slash about not wanting to play Sweet Child 'O' Mine because he hated it, it's hard telling what would of happened.With the challenging of GN'R Chinese is great and glad Axl didn't give up guitar-based.

Thanks ! I have thought about that also but I feel Axl has the right to keep the band name that him and Tracii Guns put together. Tracii and two others members left leaving Izzy and Axl and it wasn't changed then. It's Axl's legacy but I did think maybe after Guns N' Roses an added word for example-Afterglow.

i grew up listening to GNR too and i disagree emphatically with you and have every right to express this. develop the tolerance to accept opposing view points rather than pretending that people are "high" just because they contradict you.
nobody has said that Axl has always been right about everything but the fact is that a lot of ppl have attempted to re-write history trying to make Axl into a devil.
why has slash been in 3 bands and fueded with all 3 frontmen? why no comments on that?

blueskiesbrowneyes---you got my thumbs up 100%.I was very young when I saw GN'R in 1988 and Slash laying on the stage playing his guitar,that blew it for me.Man, Axl is alot happier now and the line-up is awesome.The connection is there.Alot of younger ppl don't understand that Slash was drinking very heavy and drugs to the point he was close to killing himself and made alot of bad decisions during this time.If Axl was as bad as Slash makes him sound why didn't Slash quit.

Nobody realizes that Slash hasn't been asked to join another band from what I have read and that may be because of Slash's drinking and drugs and speaking about Axl in an immature way that another band doesn't need that crap.Axl was the one who gave Slash a break in the first place because nobody would and that's the thanks Axl gets from Salsh.I don't know if those two are talking yet.Slash has done something to Axl that Axl isn't gonna let his guard down and Axl is very forgiving.

Slash left in Oct. 1996 which because Axl had interest in industrial and electronic music and Slash said he'd return only if Axl decided to return guitar-based rock&roll. Duff,Dizzy and Chris were up for a change,not Slash so he walked.I don't know how anyone can blame Axl for a decission everybody else in the band was for except Slash.

Chinese Democracy is great..love every song. But Axl needs to get in your face like he used to on his performances in the past GNR performances. In the past he got in your face and people loved it, he needs to step it up!

I think chinese democracy is one of the best albums of GNR. it's different from the other ones, but that do not mean that it isn't good.

Chinese Democracy would be an awesome album if it were made by any other band, but this music doesnt sound like Guns N' Roses, the words are old GNR, Axl is still writing amazing lyrics, but the music is nothing close to GNR.

Chinese Democracy richly deserves the GNR name. GNR was known for growing and inventing and thats exactly what CD delivers. hating the new members simply because the replaced the old makes no sense.

again, that is a bankrupt point. what did "GNR" "sound" like, huh? they had hard rockers, piano ballads and they STILL do. to say that street of dreams, There was a Time, IRS, This I Love dont sound anything like the GNR of old reflects prejudice and nothing else.
GNR always experimented with their sound and thats what CD does too. to expect tem to come back after more than a decade sounding like they did in 92 is remarkably daft and unrealistic.

it was axl's decision to include Sweet Child o MIne on Appetite for Destruction while slash, duff and steven totally opposed it and tried to kill the song. SCOM became GNR's biggest hit of all time.

November Rain,estranged and Don't cry. They did not want to grow with axl's vision for the band. They were happy with the club seen. But I bet they liked the money !

It is Guns N' Roses. Axl doesn't care if it sounds like the stuff from b4. it should b somewhat different. overall it's a badass guns album. 3:47 is classic Axl Rose tho.
