to make this car to awd we need a lot of money . i perfered to buy n evolutio 8 and i have d perfekt 4 cyl motor and awd kar . i know because i have a eclipse 3g and my dream is to make it awd with powered 4 cyl evo 8;)

It doesn't matter how many cylinders it has right to do the conversion cause i got 2000 GT with stock everything but the clutch and is engine swap require???

At the moment no one has found a trany and transfer case setup that will work with the v6 and having the 4 cyl I have not had a reason too. I'm sure it can be done, someone just has to try.

i have seriously thought about trying to get an awd conversion done on my 3g but i feel taking the fwd away just wont make it a 3g eclipse anymore.

i don't believe its awd until you prove it on the dirt or show the bottom of the car

hey whats parts did u use to convert this a shop in pa did the same thing awhile back but wouldnt tell anyone how they did it or what they used nice car tho man that had to take some time to build

to do the conversion you need... -2g rear subframe -2g rear differential plate -2g rear hubs -2g rear axels -evo 8/9 rear differential -evo 8/9 transmission and transfer case (6spd coversion will need new shift cable, if the tranny has an ACD system you need the right components to make that system work) -evo 8 front knuckles -evo 8 front axels -evo 8/9 clutch and flywheel -custom driveshaft, and exhaust system this is most of the major parts, hope this helps.

well the v6 is much faster with 205 hp. the gs/rs has about 185hp..if you want to save gas then get the rs or gs

When it comes to modding the engine its much easier to do it to an RS/GS.  Both can be fast if done right, but the 4 cylinder motors have more options.
