2009 Meet the Breeds Bedlington Terrier Earthdog Demo

Tish. That looks to be a purebred, highly capable, well-conditioned Bedlington. As with all other breeds, they're bred and judged according to the standard which is based upon the animals' original functions. Had this event been held outdoors with actual earthdog tunnels I'd bet that this dog could have demonstrated the activity just as well.

Firstly, that "Bedlington" isn't really a true Bedlington terrier. It looks way too white and fragile looking. An educated guess would tell me that the dog has poodle or Bichon blood in its genetic make up.

As for the "earth dog" demonstration. That dog is not fit for purpose for REAL earh work.

earth dog lol its in a fake man made tunnel its practised a 100 times and that is a farcry from the bedlingtons of old bloody ruined by the show fraternity that dog is no earth dog it might break a nail if it runs into a fox lol
