Today's NBA may have more players that are quicker and jump higher but according to records on the average height and weight of NBA players, past decades of players were taller and definitely heavier. So there isn't significant difference in level of physical abilities of the average player because we all know taller/heavier you get, the less easy it is to run and jump.

That's the key thing, Jordan played against and scored over players taller and bigger than him. Kobe can only score against a bigger guy when he's on a fast break. I have yet to see him dunk over a guy more than 2 inches taller than him.

@TheJesusDelusion I have been a Lakers fan my whole life and never a Bull fan. However, I have always loved Michael Jordan. He was an outstanding leader and competitor, along with Kobe. The comparison between Kobe and Michael is super close. It is very difficult to compare these players because the game has changed over the years. Kobe is one of the few to lead his team to a "Three-pete." In addition, Kobe has been named to the NBA All Defensive Team Multiple times. Both are great players.
