the animations are terrible still to this day..characters look horrible..the only good thing about this game was the city in qalia or what ever its called.
age of conan looks better than this on low settings..i wish vanguard was a better game but it was a huge disappointment..they tried to do too much at once.

I think Vanguard is bullshit TBH. They charge you full price for something that look and work like a beta version. I mean, it's a new game, they should be able to create nice graphics. And the "motion camera" is jumpy and doesnt work properly when you enter houses and stuff. It stinks. All that money and loading time for nothing....
There are different servers, just like WOW has. Some servers are free for all pvp (you can pk anyone almost, above a certain level, it was lvl 7 when I played), and there are servers were its is just PvE and you have to duel if you want to pvp. As far as penalties go, when I played they could be steep at least compared to WoW. You can lose exp upon death and etc.
Play EQ2 it's the best MMO out,unfortunatelly they dont advertise EQ2 as much as WOW but it's a great game.Has like 28 class to choose from and like 16 races.Already has 3 expansions and another this fall.

and when i'm gonna play i think i want to play as a Hunter ;) because i always loved a archer or hunter. its just that a hunter has swords and a bow and archer only a dagger and as main weapon a bow so ranger is more fun to play but anyways hunter is the only class in vanguard who has a bow :) duel swords + a bow ? ^^

My computer is almost exactly like what you listed only my Gfx card is one model higher, the 7900 GTX. And your going to start playing in June eh? That is when I'll be getting back online in-game as well... hopefully. If you need a server to start on, start on the FFA server and look me up, I'll show ya around. :)

This vid here was with only one video card activated in the nvidia control panel. Vanguard doesn't yet support SLi so I don't get any benefit from using it, so I turn one off to limit any heat issues.
I am playing at 1600x1200 with high quality settings.

EVERY GAME HAS START UP TROUBLE.
they are doing their best to fix VG ... and its getting better and better :D even active weather coming in. ( druids can influence the weather)

Combat level 10 Or Diplomacy 50 theres a quest for a free one for Diplomacy and the normal level 10 one costs money.
