  • Thanks for that usefull video

  • Very nice instruction. I play bass, not steele or dobro, but this teaching techniqe is excellent. The inset is especially good. The pinger/thumb pizzacatto and bar management was shown so that any learner could easily see what techniqe is practiced to get the song. Very good! And, as some have mentioned, the instructor is easy on the eyes.

  • she plays all string instruments and pedal steel . look around!!

  • angels do not play harp

  • my parents had The Buckaroo's album with this song on it.

    I played it over a 1000 times.

Made me learn to play the guitar.

  • Cindy Cashdollar is a great musician I would love to have her play on some of my music

  • Has anyone seen the resonators Robb Lee builds? Wow! One lady stated it right "they are works of art".. shame they aren't out there everywhere.. Maybe someday.. Katy

  • Great vid, Cindy. Faded is one of my favorite songs & it really sounds fantastic on the dobro--or maybe that's the musician!! Thanks.

  • Cindy is A1! Leon Redbone had Cindy play with him many years ago! Saw them at the Ark in Ann A rbor, MI (the original building) sat about 18" away when they played! Amazing!!

  • she has a beard? she looks fine to me!

  • cash dollar is that for real proabaly not

  • GREAT!

  • Yes she is pretty. However, in case you (we) missed it, she is also a master of non-pedal steel guitar and not shabby on the Dobro. I'd love to support Homespun Video lessons like this one if they were (are?) available via pay-per--download.

  • @teachrz2

I agree. Cindy is an amazing musician and great teacher. FYI, Homepun's download site is expanding rapidly with most of our titles available for download. We are not currently doing a-la-carte songs, but entire videos are available. --Adam Traum

  • @homespuntapes

Thanks, Adam. I have purchased Homespun tapes in the past and was well satisfied with the quality and content. Now, if you guys could just come up with a port to download these lessons directly to my brain I would be much obliged. However, I guess that would take all the fun out of learning! :)

  • @homespuntapes thanks for uploading some of your great stuff ... we appreciate it ... you always have the best artists ... now how about some gypsy violin ... nothing fake ... try roby lackatos ... and what a cymblon player ...

  • @teachrz2 They are available by download!!

  • it's a great video.....

  • Your right its a Beard...I guess I'm blind. I have a Regal which I bought over 30 years ago from some guy. Dont have clue how old it is. Says San Francisco on it.....thats all I can see.......

  • Pretty sure it's a Beard instrument. Look at the headstock at :58 sec. The Regal emblem is very different. I also have a Regal and the tone is more mid heavy.

  • Its a Regal guitar.......

  • It's a Beard. No offense to Regal, but someone of her calibur would not be playing a Regal- unless it was Vintage 30s.

Beards come in 2 levels of quality and you can buy a very nice Goldtone series for under $600.oo with remarkable sound.

  • What is the make of this guitar?

  • Thanks Cindy, You are still teaching, I bought a video of yours about 20 yrs ago, and followed your lessons then, since lost the video , now back at it, Thanks Bill

  • I play upright bass (I am 73 and been taking lessons a couple of yrs) and I would love to play with her in person. I mean play bass back-up!!!!

  • Wow! If I could have her as a teacher, I'd take up the Dobro too....Sweet

  • She makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

  • ....."well it's a sweet dream that keeps me close to you, dear".......I am a happy man to see her on a regular base....she's fantastic!!

  • I'm in love.

  • Best looking good guitar teacher I've ever seen.

  • I believe Cindy is one of the best teachers out there. I recommend her Homespun Dobro Instruction Videos highly. Thanks for your help Cindy!

  • Thanks so much for posting--nice piece, great execution, well demonstrated so I could pick it up quickly.

  • She's fantastic.
