This is an excellent video promoting the Bujinkan as it is taught in Japan. I highly recommend the authors website bjkninja.com to anyone looking for authentic ninjutsu. Thank you for sharing Chris sensei and keep up the good work.
there is no ninjutsu (beyond what has been researched by takamatsu) to be found in the bujinkan.
lots of claims are made, but it's just a marketing ploy.... it was used because kodokan judo was monopolizing the student base and the tournaments at the time, and the traditional systems were unable to compete.
he only made up togakure ryu AFTER the kukishin ryu told him they would NOT support his claim that they taught him ninjutsu.
@Arteanor I don't care. I have over 30 yrs in the martial arts (various styles) and I am impressed with the curriculum. I've had some experiences over the years that assure me I'm studying a real martial art. If it was invented last year I would still train in the style. I've survived a few circumstances that have me convinced. A man with experience is never at the mercy of a man with a theory. If I like the food I won't ask the cook for his cooking certificate. Understand? Good , Go Play
@Arteanor strawman? misrepresented you? My stating that I study a real m.a. does not imply that you don't. Defensive? As for the experience quote, Its a COMMON quote that means I'm sure of what I know from experience and can't be convinced otherwise.I don't care what you know. This video is obviously pro Buj. What are you doing here? Why go to a party where you are not wanted. Do you surf pro buj vids to start net debates? Live and let live or whatever just leave me alone please. Thank You
@Arteanor Man you just don't stop, do you go interrupt Bingo games because you think it's unethical. A bunch of old ladies all pissed off because you won't sit down. Where are your videos standing up for history. Why do I get the impression you are some nerd with no skills. If I'm wrong host a seminar, write a book, post a video, post your picture do something. Chris Carbonaro raises his head up and you throw mud from behind a screen. Feel free to respond with whatever, I will ignore it.

@Hisamune1 You said you train all aspects. Does this include ground fighting?

"I've had some experiences over the years that assure me I'm studying a real martial art."
did you even read what i said? its a MISREPRESENTATION of NINJUTSU, nobody said BJK wasn't real MA.
" A man with experience is never at the mercy of a man with a theory."
you misrepresent me AGAIN, second strawman in one post, impressive.
this is NOT a theory, this is demonstrable history. or do you know takamatsu better than his old school?? ( Kukishin ryu)

"strawman? misrepresented you? " +yes and yes
"My stating that I study a real m.a." +is irrelevant
"Its a COMMON quote... " that doesn't make the premise you attempt to respond with any less logically fallacious
"you are resp..." +to your CLAIM "authentic ninjutsu." to be found through this source.
"What are you doing here?" +standing up for history, and the simple facts.
you mistake me for ANTI BJK, i simply wish for the lies about ninjutsu to stop.

Love every aspect of it. Especially how you feel it is important to preserve the cultural aspects of Ninpo.
