nice bike. i got an 07 but its got the short pipes and done all in black. i love the bike. its never let me down yet. i like your setup. esp the saddle. nice... ride safe.
looking at adding these pipes on my 08 america.. im getting 49 mpg on stock pipes what do you think these will drop it to. also did you rejet your carbs or any adjustments or u just bolt these on in place of the stock thanks for any help
Look down the front opening of the slash pipe and in about 4 inches there will be a restrictor ring. Take a Makita die grinder and open this rings hole up as far as you can without grinding away the stamp welds on this ring. Then change the carb's pilot jets to size 42's.
i have been hitting up others for info about your miles per tank with those after market pipes. i put bubs on my 2007 america. milage went from 150 miles per tank to about 130. what say you brother?
135 miles average with 42 size pilot jets. Absolutely love this bike. My first bike was a new 1971 Benelli S 650 Tornado. Number 2 was a 74 BMW R90S Number 3 was a 75 BMW R90S, 5 a 1981 Virago 750 and now the Triumph America.
All that has to happen is Triumph to start making new models which look more like Triumphs instead of closer and closer looks from Harley's!!!!!!!! I was excited about the NEW Thunderbird until I seen a parallel twin Harley complete with a gauge mounted on the fuel tank? If they want me to lose interest along with many of the dealers they are doing a great job! Very sad effort. Why not double gauges like utilized on the T140's or Classic Rocket III? Make it look like a Triumph!
This is what gods bike sounds like.

The stock pipes strangle about 5hp. TORS (as on the bike in the video) give it back. :)
