I am 26 years old thus never really heard Scully in his prime, I love when they show the dodgers games here in Canada his voice puts me to sleep because it brings me comfort. I am so disappointed this is is last year, no other announcer today compares. Joe Buck has no energy when he announces so sometimes it sounds like he doesn't give a sh"t about the game. I do like Dan Shulman though, I believe he will be great as the years go on, he is still young right now though.Buck wil get better in time

I'm from England and don't know anything about baseball but even I know what an American broadcasting legend Vin Scully is. The man's truly one of the great "voices"

i was there at the Coliseum and when he came out, it was the loudest i have ever heard the Coliseum get, it was almost deafening! and i go there alot.

I agree. I am a Yankee fan, and Scully is the best right now. It would be an honor and a privilege for Scully to call Yankee games.

I know what you mean- I live in the L.A. area, about an hour or so away....... I'm a die-hard Mets fan, but I will ALWAYS say Vin Scully is the BEST ANNOUNCER IN ANY SPORT.

And even when it's the Dodgers taking on my beloved Mets, I'll tune into the Dodger broadcast just to here, for the millionth time, as beautiful as ever:

"It's time for Dodger baseball! Good evening to you, wherever you may be......"

(And of course, there's always "Behind the bag! It get's through Buckner!") :D

Scully is the best broadcaster ever. Although I am a Red Sox fan I watch Dodger games just to listen to Vin.
