I got this game and its amazing, I learn songs thru this game waaay faster than I do by looking at tabs, I'd say i am an intermediate to advanced guitar player and would say this game is perfect for me... even more so than beginners, as there are a few of the easier songs that I can just rock out and sound incredible to. To get rid of the latency make sure you output the audio via some analogue source rather than pushing it thru HDMI. THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE!!!

I recently got this game and I have to say, it is pretty amazing. I can plug in my fender and play. A great tool for making the guitar learning experience a little less frustrating and more enjoyable. Much better than just hitting 5 plastic buttons.

@MrMousefield not necessarily I play guitar and I didnt learn from books or videos, but from guitar teachers. But I think its a great idea, its definitly better than stupid guitar hero and rock band. But it still doesnt really help though if you learn and then you never use the skills you inherit because all it is, is a video game to you. I recommend guitar teachers although some suck lol it all depends, thankfully both my teachers were excellent teachers.

Don't know if this has any relevance, but when conversations or debates come up between who the "best guitarist" is between Slash and Buckethead or others, most people focus on who shreds most. Jimi Hendrix, named best guitarist guitrarist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, didn't just shred. He incorporated a lot more into his music than shredding.

Faulty logic here because, people who own a real guitar are likely to already know how to read tabs, and by reading tabs, you have ALL the songs you want to learn at your own pace.

People who truly want to learn proper techniques, will get professional lessons.

Anyone who is expecting to learn guitar with this game, just teach yourself by googling, 80 bucks is a lot of money considering you can google tabs for any song you want.

First of all, just because you haven't heard some of these songs that doesn't mean they "suck" or are "terrible". This is actually a great bunch of guitarbased songs, and if you've listened to all of them and truly think they suck, well, then you have terrible taste. Secondly, this game won't magically turn anyone into a great guitar player. You'll still have to invest time and practice. This is just a tool to make that process a bit more enjoyable.

i have mixed feelings about this game. ive been playin guitar for 4 years, and this seems like it would be kinda fun. but now it seems like guitar is loosing that specialness. now anyone can say they play the guitar, and soon it will be as common as sunglasses or hoodies.
