But seriously, gospel drummers are the most entertaining drummers to watch. Honestly, my personal favorite. The judges, it seems, agree too. So they crown gospel drummers more than 50% of the time (in the past few years.) Ironically, most gospel drummers, are black. (needs citation)

decentdrummer911 ....Great observation....his solo really has not change in the 10 years I've known of him....it's just his style.....Case in point, check Dennis Chambers or Dave Weckle from 10 years ago....you'll see that not much changed in their solos....Dennis still ends his solos by getting up and leaving and Dave still plays his doubles to death....but that's doesn't mean they are not growing still,,,..but you make a good point.....Peace

im talking about the inconsistencies in his sound quality any time he does a lot of fast around the toms split stuff with diddles. just a few moments throughout his solo that were a littled fudged or the interp was not constant for faster constant ram of notes stuff. jerome flood has a more consistent sound when it comes to ram. Don't get me wrong sherman threw down for a majority of the solo, just not all of it like j flood.
