I loved the vid! You did a marvelous job of capturing Janeway's loneliness. Despite her femininities, love, and attractions, she is constantly forced to push this side of herself away in the name of duty. Poor Janeway. I wish endgame explored future love for her (like with Chakotay instead of the nonsense btwn him and 7). Oh, well...
I know and they even took Mark away from her. Seems everyone found love but her. Maybe the point was that she "fell in love" with her crew, and she put their needs ahead of her own.
Oh this was just wonderful!! I'm a huge JCer but also a hopeless romantic, so when it comes to the captain, all her little flings are nice to see. Chakotay did say "It was nice to see you having a little fun," :D:D:D:D:D er...something along those lines :)
thanks! I am also a hopeless romantic. I always wanted J/C to happen but I really liked the idea of Kashyk. He was the bad boy, I wonder if she really fell for him or if it was just part of her plan because she never trusted him.I have to think she did care for him because she was so sad at the end.
Not to mention that kiss was the most passionate she gave on the whole show ;)
Had more love in it than any of the others.
I wasn't too much of a Kashyk fan because my heart will always be a JCer, it's just a fact of life :P But I really do think she fell for him. Have you ever heard Kate Mulgrew talking about this episode? She really explains it well :D:D
I don't think I have heard her talking about it. I have seen a lot of her interviews online, but I don't recall her talking about this one. Do you know which interviews it was in?
cont. I think her invitation to stay aboard was sincere, that she *hoped* he would accept it or at least not betray her, and in the end was sad that her more suspicious and cynical instincts had been correct.
My 2 cents..I liked Kashyk--the actor did a great job and his voice was wonderful, a very nice accompaniment to Kate. I think KJ was always aware of the possibility of betrayal and that this is part of why it's so painful for her--the fact she can't trust an offer friendship, that life has come to this. And that she's come to such a pass as well.
I agree with you on her point of view, but you know she had to wonder in the end if he had actually liked her or was just using her. I would have to think that he really considered her offer before he betrayed her.
They were definitely attracted to each other...Kashyk didn't HAVE to kiss her to gain her trust, and she didn't HAVE to kiss him back...especially like that! My take is that they were falling for each other but each was more committed to his respective cause (which conflicted with each other). They allowed themselves that one last indulgence though.
where's 3:23 from?

I think so too! I didn't like it down when it was really short though, the length it is at the beginning of the video is the best. Thanks!
