well these competitive shooters try to get a better advantage with all the funky equipment while still staying in the rules set by the olympic pplz. Its all about precision. (honestly if your not olympic serious about shooting all you need is a good gun and some beer cans to shoot at.)
Very true. Olympic rifle training demands that you maintain a strong core, strong abs, and strong legs. Despite the fact that they do work out in the gym, I'm not 100% sure that they are more athletically fit than other athletes.
how come i never seen shooting on t.v. for olympics, all i see is swimming, athletics, gymnastics and basketball. they never seem to show anything else. only take quick reveiws of what happens at other sports

Because some of the sports' actual value to the games is questionable. Like this one. Where is the athletic fete involved? Marksmanship may take a lot of training, but it's minimal compared to that of the real athletes.
Let's look at it this way, one person is born with a talent in running but another is born with a talent in shooting. I don't think there is anything questionable about it. We can't all be runners. These games are about being the best at whatever event.
And I too am annoyed that I haven't seen any shooting and very little archery.
idiot. If you don't think that shooting itselves it's rough, you have never tried shooting for real. You don't know what you are talking about. I bet the shooters have more time spent on training than many other sports athletes have. You don't know how it is. Try to shoot a 3xPositions 50m. I will be happy to see the result of your face. Bet you will beg for painkillers, and say "it was rough".
its cuz it isnt very appealing like other sports. Although i love participation in this sport i absolutely cnt stand sitting here watching it which brings to mind y i am here watching this.

You are completely right! 3x40 is really hard. Ass will ache you, arm will ache you, legs will ache you and you gonna be completely wet.

And btw... 50 million people world over is actually competition shooting active. It is the world most populated individual sport.
I will assume you never see shooting on t.v, since it isn't that populour in your country, that easy.
