This video shows the characters, weapons and the city in whole whereas in-game they are seen from the top, which means you'll think the graphics are brilliant.
Guys, it is not wrong to care about graphics. Visuals are important to a lot of people and that does not make them wrong, it just means they are more visually-oriented than you. People with an eye for art care about that stuff.
The graphics in this game are not fantastic, even for how stylized it is. Is it going to be a bad game because of it? No. But it's okay to not think the game "looks" amazing.

And an old one at that, since D2 was at least 2 years behind everyone else in terms of graphics when it came out as well. It was a great game, but it doesnt mean its graphics are not very bad.
Haters don't know the first thing about what it means to make a game. Learn to bake down a low poly mesh with an ambient occlusion and normal map so you can have 100 of them on screen and have it run smoothly on all systems. Then create a full character rig from scratch and learn how to animate a walk, run, jump, death and about 20 different attacks. Then export all of that in a file that can be implemented into a custom engine. Learn what it means to make a game first, THEN criticise.

@Pundit2k Ok. Diablo 3 is played with the camera at a distance. You wouldn't make a super detailed model for something that wouldn't be seen up close to even reveal the look. The way it is now would look just fine from a distance. Plus, if you have ever played Diablo, its gameplay is incredible so you barely notice the graphics.

Haters don't know the first thing about what it means to make a game. Learn to bake down a low poly mesh with an ambient occlusion and normal map so you can have 100 of them on screen and have it run smoothly on all systems. Then create a full character rig from scratch and learn how to animate a walk, run, jump, death and about 20 different attacks. Then export all of that in a file that can be implemented into a custom engine. Learn what it means to make a game first, THEN criticise.

@TheJoeread16 A great game always has an impressive atmosphere. But here they fail at the design, the graphics, the movements (0:40 is an epic fail), the sound effects (way too much noise)... Graphics do add to the atmosphere, therefore to the game. A real gamer gives a shit about the atmosphere.
But no matter what shit blizzard does, they will always have their stupid fanboys defending them.

@Pundit2k I think there was a misunderstanding with the fans of Diablo 2. They said that they wanted graphics similar to D2 (dark and serious atmosphere), but Blizzard understood that they wanted the same quality as in D2.

@Pundit2k Ok. Diablo 3 is played with the camera at a distance. You wouldn't make a super detailed model for something that wouldn't be seen up close to even reveal the look. The way it is now would look just fine from a distance. Plus, if you have ever played Diablo, its gameplay is incredible so you barely notice the graphics.
