Tara was not in the band at the time of this song, but the pic is cool anyway. I prefer this old Lycia with Mike and John, and then David. This song is great, and some other ones on youtube are worth checking out like "The New Day" and "Distant Eastern Glare." It's just not the same without Johnny.
I discovered Lycia in the mid 90s, and have been a fan since. Hearing the beautiful, dark melody resonates with my soul. This song inparticular is one of my favourites. It picks me up when I am down. Just the song itself reveals true legit emotion from the human soul. I try to play Lycia on my radio shows when I can. We need good music like this :D
It's odd to say it, but listening to this song a few years ago kept me from wallowing too deeply in despair when I was rejected by my roommate whom I was in love with.
Just the melody made me happy. Melancholy, but happy.
Now, when I hear it, I think of fall leaves, the scent of patchouli and cinnamon, and his beautiful, hazel eyes.
song is so emotional and beautiful. literally fits everything i feel right now... im actually crying.

Ah, the sweet sadness and joy of memory.

i wish there were some actual lycia videos around, their music is a dream reality i want to stay in, all warm, soft, and yet heartstoppingly achy

When I was a younger, Tara Vanflower scared me, now, I found her just a little creepy.
BTW I love this pic.
American Gothic. Hillarious.
