I'm pretty sure this is the way I do my laces, only I do it left handed, which is kind of a mirror image of what you're doing. I've never actually encountered anyone else who does it like this. I've never tied my laces any other way, since being a 3 or 4 year old, and to me it is my own invention, since I was never taught it and I discovered it independently. The way that everybody else does it seems very cumbersome compared to this method.
