I know Zappa hated weed and all, but damn, try smoking to this song (if you do that kind of thing that is) the way the keyboard/guitar lines mesh with the odd drums, creates this sort of orbital sound, i imagine a spaceship taking off from a docking station, scraping along the walls creating some sort of beautiful cacophony, its fucking brilliant on weed. its brilliant off weed too, thats zappa for you.

when i go to concerts that i care about, I am dead sober. and they are better.
*weed helped me find that place where music is phenomenal, and I can access it whenever I want now. it was probably there all along.
This was probably Zappa's most saddest, most soulful song. I once interviewed Ike Willis, the vocalist, and he said it didn't start out that way. Frank didn't think of it as sad when he wrote it. The sadness just sort of happened during the take.
