@ricecracker604 1 wpg of T5NO (normal output) on a shallow tank like mine is considered low to medium light. For a deeper tank, you'll need more wpg or a T5HO (high output) bulb.
im having real troubles growing my plants. they are crypt wendtii. my gh and kh are perfect, and i frequently add iron and mixed plant nutrients when doing a water change.
a couple reasons im thinking i messed up are:
a) i had a common pleco in the tank who may have been eating my plants
b) my substrate is sand
c) my tank is a 50 gallon with a SINGLE t10 26 watt bulb.... i think this is the big one
wow that looks like a 40 gallon but i know ur probably right ur camera just makes it look huge. Is it a 20 gallon long tank?

haha and i just re-read the video title. 20 gallons. that answers my first question. so its true then, you want 1 watt: 1 gallon, effectively?
