  • STFU YOU FREAKING SCOUT!

  • scrims with crits??

  • @AndrewTehmasta I know late reply, but this was before the meta was created and perfected.

  • guys, im hopefully joinin a clan that do some friendly scrims, anything i should know? how scrims are different from pubs?

  • scrims have players that are a lot more xp'd and they are always better.. more strats as well..

  • ok, thanks ... any ideas on how to get a little clan that i can join? =)

  • download mIRC and use it to join pick-up groups..

  • Well imagine this only the players dont suck. And you know using mumble for mics and not ingame speak. that and the server is setup correctly. infact i wouldnt even call this a scrim more of a wannabe scrim. google e-rev(dot)tv they stream REAL scrims between top players.

  • shut the fuck up. obviously they have lives if they are living and breathing. did one of them rape your wife or something? it's their lives, they can live it however they like. who are you to tell them whether or not they are living?

  • scout is the best disguise nuff said

  • You disguise as a scout

    Wow

  • He did it while he was in trouble. It makes the one chasing him feel like the Spy is faster than he really is. It wasn't supposed to look like he was blending in.

  • Spies don't run at scout speed...

  • It makes the one chasing him feel like the Spy is faster than he really is. It makes the one chasing him feel like the Spy is faster than he really is. It makes the one chasing him feel like the Spy is faster than he really is.

  • No. People can tell when a scout model is running at scout speed or spy speed. In fact, it's so fucking blatant that you could pick up on it no matter what distance.

There is absolutely no reason to ever disguise as a scout, and if you say otherwise or do otherwise, you're a scrub.

And nobody thinks "Oh man, I just saw a scout model. Instead of looking at it for longer then a second, I'll just give up chase because there is no chance of me being able to catch up."

  • RLY I TAWT DAT MEBE LIEK PPL WUD JUST GIV UP.

    No, retard.

    It's a psychological thing. You wouldn't understand.

  • You do not "trick" anyone. Nobody is fooled. There is nothing psychological to it. Perhaps disguising as a friendly pyro at Dbowl round 3 on defense in front of the gate to have blu assume/prepare for a pyro rush would be psychological. Any experienced player that sees a friendly scout can determine if it is a spy literally in a second. The way the model runs gives it away.

You are a fucking scrub kid and you are trying to defend your scrub comment to the death.

  • You're retarded. It's not whether or not YOU CAN FUCKING TELL it's a Spy.

Think about it; If you KNEW there was a Spy disguised as a Heavy, and he was standing SOMEWHERE near you, you'd just swing your wrench or whatever you have around, and you'd feel confident because the Heavy just looks like such a big target. Do you think a Heavy's head is actually "bigger" for a Sniper? No. All the hitboxes are the same. It's just a matter of what seems like an easier target.

  • Let's say a demo is defending solo at gravelpit, cap A. A suspicious looking engy runs by, he launches a pipe and hits, the spy cloaks. He runs under A and grabs the health, re-disguises as a scout. Based on what you are saying, if you saw this obvious spy disguised as a scout run out and towards A-C tunnels, you would not give chase because to you it would "look like he was running faster than he really was."

And btw, what do hitboxes or registration have to do with anything

  • No...No. That's not what I'm saying. Okay, same situation you stated, except an engineer has built a sentry on the point, and you're the spy. He's in a position that makes it too difficult to perform a stab>sap, so you just decide to sap as much as possible because he's alone. Think about the scout LITERALLY--his body is literally smaller. The engineer might not be used to trying to whack scouts with his wrench, so he might feel overwhelmed seeing as the target's literally a smaller target.

  • I'm not saying the engineer will say "Oh, shucks! I know that's a Spy, but he's disguised as a scout, so I better not try to catch him cause he's so speedy". That's stupid. I'm saying that the engineer will simply feel less calm while pursuing the spy.

  • Well you explained it differently but I still don't completely agree with you. I feel like an ass arguing over YouTube and I told myself I never would, but I still agree with what I said earlier, I just don't feel like keeping this up any longer.

    So that's it, I guess.

  • Ok. I obviously still agree with myself more than you, but it is indeed over.

  • @yeenar

The hitboxes are still the same spy hitboxes though.

  • My 500 character comment got deleted I guess.

  • I have to agree with cory here, 5 months later! as a medic, i have learned to eyeball spies no mater what the class is, they all have a little twitch about them that gives them away (not a literal twitch). and once you learn it you can see even the best spies in seconds, but that is the thing about spies you see them and they lose unless you suck.

  • I love your strategy at "C" with the scout, cleaver.
