Yes, it's indeed Fat Man's pass. I've ridden that trail 1,000 times.
It's certainly not a tunnel or a cave.

No, but it's on the way to it. Once you pass this area, keep going West. You'll reach Hidden Valley and then west of that is fat man's pass.

It's on the National trail on the East side of South Mtn. Start at the 48th St & Guadalupe entrance. It's on the way to Hidden Valley and Fat Man's Pass. It's not too far in.
