Uff, me habría encantado estar ahi, no cabe duda, os noventas fue una década genial para ir a conciertos, y Chicago es la mejor ciudad de E.U.A para disfrutarlos
Pretty cool to see people moshing to PJ Harvey. Her stuff is so tame nowadays. If you see her 1993 video of "Snake" at the Metro you will see people moshing for pretty much the entire song. I like pretty much all of her work both back then and now, but it was much heavier in the '90s.
I think he was the one doing it on the CD, too, yes, because it was released under the idea of PJ Harvey being a 3 piece band, and he was as entitled to sing as PJ even though he primarily plays drums. The two have a strangely similar voice though.
i can't believe she performed at the metro. I live in the Chi and were the fuck have I been. I go there every other week and lets just say no PJ Harvey ever sang there yet ,and should be left that way. LOVE U PJ!
in the original record she is actually dubbing the vocals but hands down on the drummer im not shure if it is Robert Ellis not bieng racist but he's whiter lol
I saw a video of this song from the Tonight Show with an interview with Jay afterward. It's been taken off, probably because Jay and the other guests didn't come off so well in the interview. PJ's performance on that video was amazing. Does anyone know where it can be seen?
I don't know but if you find out let me know lol. I had it favourited on here and I'm so mad it's gone because it was definitely the best version out there.
yeah, jim333333, i used to watch that Tonight Show clip of Rid of Me all the time, too and had noticed it isn't on YouTube anymore. what made that version so great was that it was just Polly singing and her guitar. It was an absolutely mesmerizing and fearless performance - "Lick my legs and i'm on fire"!!! and the interview was entertaining, too, when Harvey talked about growing up on a farm..and castrating sheep. ha ha ha!
Chill, man.... the drummer's voice is one of the things that make this song so cool and unique! It's art. :-) Way cool how he sounds like he's dying at the end at around 4:00!
I met PJ Harvey at Macabes in Santa Monica she played a solo live show back in the 90's after the show me and my girlfriend convinced her manager for us to meet, wow she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever laid eyes on, and she was so sweet. I got her to sign a flyer I had. I have it till this day! One of my favorate posessions!!!!!!

She looked exactly like Connie Marble from John Water's "Pink Flamingos" here, except for her hair colour of course.
