This song is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! But the production value on the storyline part of the video could be better. If you applied some sort of effect on it in post production, it wouldn't have come off as if you asked some inexperienced high school student with a PD-170 to shoot something for you one evening. If you have a more professional video to go along with this song, I think you guys would be golden! I look forward to hearing you on the radio!
ANY effect would have improved this video. And it is pretty high school. It screams noob with a video camera. I can tell you exactly what equipment they used to shoot it, & how they did it. Music videos should draw more attention to the band & the song & the story. The shot composition is 101. The editing is blah. In my opinion, the only good footage is of the band performing. I'd reshoot the video or at least add an effect from Magic Bullet or another program along those lines.
i have final cut and avid. what sort of effects are possible in those programs? like i said, there are always areas for improvement, and i'm open to all suggestions, but you make it sound like anyone on the street could create this same video, which of course isn't realistic. don't strip away credit where it is due.
