according to the definitive Bowie biography, there is no credence or validity to the Numan being thrown out story. I actually love both Bowie and Numan... Ive got a piece of Bowie's chewing gum he stuck on a wall, during a mad panic dash to get in a car. Ive also got one of Numan's ties, so theres no favouritism amongst my musical hero souveneirs.
