All this is is a lame attempt to defend programs that don't work. The ARC loan is a joke. It's too small and the paper work requirements are as bad as if you were trying to buy a house and the limitations on what you can do with the money. small businesses don't need counciling or condescending speeches and pep talks. We need credit with minimal paper work requirements and easier terms. We don't want more debt. We need our debt consolidated so we aren't bleeding cash everyday.

regarding countries with poor human rights, as long as Obama is civil, the countries can't just say "no." at the same time, Obama is enlisting the global community. the effect is a very strong pressure against those countries. pressure that they can't just dismiss

if Obama was not respectful, the countries would have simple retaliatory excuses that they could use to continue ignoring human rights issues. what Obama is doing is depriving them of this strategic stance

No president of the United States in the more than 230 years since the country was founded in 1776 had ever bowed to a member of royalty. That was until Barack Obamas presidency when he bowed to the emperor of Japan. When he as president bows before a Saudi king or a Japanese emperor, he is sending an implicit message to millions of people around the world that the leader of the free world accepts the notion that some people are born to a higher rank than others.

Not only did Presidents Nixon and Eisenhower bow to foreign leaders (Nixon to the Emperor of Japan, Eisenhower to Charles De Gaulle), but President Bush actually held hands with and kissed Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah.
