To freaken bad poor people can't afford these fine fine Watch..All I have Is my Pain MEDS to look forward to..Tons of people want them but it's against the law for me to trade my script of 100 Oxy 15 Mg For A Rolex!!! Or I Would!!
I got one question! I dont really know much about these watches, but i'd like to get one of those. knowing that the watch doesnt need a batery beacuse it has Self Winding Automatic Movement, so if you leave your watch lets say (on a table) for about 2 days then the watch stop itself? so that means that you have to set the time up again everytime you want to use it?? or the watch automaticly goes back the way it was once you put it on and start swinging your hand ?? thanks
If you leave a Rolex on a table for a few days it will stop!
Yes you will have to re-set the time...but you can wind a rolex by hand (it's silky smooth) using the crown wheel (that is screwed down to keep it waterproof)
These are mechanical marvels that last for years (I have had one over 30 years and I hardly ever take it off) BUT they have no idea of how many days are in a month and need manual adjustment accordingly.
Excuse me, but you open a Rolex case and expose the movement...outdoors? You're a brave man, I have to tell you. I never ever do that to my Rolex. As you know, an high end movement like these are very delicate and any dirt or debris will cause a lot of damage.
Hope nothing happen to your watch after such adventure.
Hope this doesn't offend you but this isn't vintage at all, I have an extemly old rolex from 1925. Sadly the balance staff had broken before My granfather found it but even still it is very pretty and the movement is still as clean as it would have been over 80 years ago. very pretty watch.
HOW RICH are you???

My 1570 is from 1972. That may be vintage to many people, but I like it better than the newer ones. To me, a vintage watch is from before 1950.

Regarding Rolex
Old plastic crystal is vintage
Saphire crystal is modern
That's how I break it down to keep it simple

@Jacob88rOblivion No offence at all.
Vintage is for things that have more than 20 years old. So Your watch and mine are both vintages. Altough yours is older than mine.
cedipro 1 year ago 4
@cedipro Yes and everyone knows that yours is pure vintage, one from 1925 is antique.
