The only problem that I see with this video is that it doesn't show what would happen to Mercury or Venus, you sort-of just have to assume that they were vapourized. It's still an awesome and eerie video however.

Even if the Sun started expanding NOW, we would be long dead before it started drastically affecting us. The vid compresses roughtly a billion years worth of solar expansion in 1.5 mins.
Hopefully by the time this process starts we will be the undisputed masters of the universe :P
It actually will do this, but over the span of 5 Billion more years. Thankfully, you and I will be dead by then (and probably everything else for that matter).
I think the inner core buldges as it loses hydrogen, causeing the sun to expnad and contract, but the core and the rest of the sun will eventually collapse under the weight of its own mass.
I love this...the music is great..the animation is beautiful. It's like a deleted scene out of 2001 Space Odyssey. My favorite movie. Keep up the goodwork.

actiully murcery and venous is in the video you have to concentrate they are wayyy small but they are in the left and right you will see them moving.
