I really hope everyone ignored latifyo because he sounds like a retard and hes on the same side as me here. Google chrome OS can be compared to windows, but not a real laptop, a netbook. Look at normal netbooks and you'll see that what google chrome does is very similar, with similar storage space and similar usage.

tl;dr - Chromebooks are NETBOOKS not normal laptops. They are cheap and for simple computing tasks on the go. It does what it's suppose to do.

FYI, Chrome is created by the same guys who were working at Mozilla. Google actually hired a bunch of guys from Mozilla to develop their "brand new" browser.

Google relies and always will rely on Open Source because all they do is use open source stuff and code over open source code.

For those that do need offline apps Linux and Windows also seem to be great however in order to be more popular Linux needs to be simplified so it's more newb-friendly.
