Okay, heres the question, which is the other singer in the one on the radio singing with the other person who which I belive is Lonestar, if not I apologize, if you know it, PLEASE tell me, its been bothing me for a while...
I believe this video was taken at the Pepsi Roadhouse in Burgettstown, PA sometime in '07. It's one of the songs we don't play to a click track, we used to just follow Richie, sometimes (like this time) it was a little fast. It's a pretty small room and you can hear a lot of drums from the stage into the camera mic, but I've definitely heard worse bootlegs.
I have to agree with allmightybrian. Memphis has gone downhill baaaad. Bad management more than anything I think personally. We have over what 3 or 4 statiums now that are empty and that we are still paying on?. Wouldn't it make more sense to use the money for the fedex forum to fund education or something. Or here's an idea. Fix the damn roads!. Sry for the rant just saw the comment.
actually lonestar is a good group.. its called a cover guys.. honestly.. you couldnt play it better so shutup and enjoy an amazing song no matter who its sung by.. the day people worry about who delivers the music mor than the music itself is the day music itself has been destroyed
Cohn is THE original, probably in the top 6 songwriters in the world in his genre along with Jackson Browne and JT. Neat to see other versions, too. What a testament to the power of Cohns music.
Hey T. Didnt need to hear that but thanks for sharing uh anyhow could someone upload the music vdieo for Lonetstar's song "What About Now" because I havent seent that video yet, please. thank you
Reminds me of my 10th birthday, my parents played this for me. I LOVE this song, anyone who says it's bad is just plain WRONG. I love it, it means so much to me.
I hope thats a joke. Or, like they said, you're a stupid fanboy.
I happen to like Lonestars version a lot - however, the recorded version. I like the reworking of the drums coming in a lot earlier, and leading into a snare pattern as the song develops. It sounds good - but this live version isn't up to much for me. Drummer starts way too fast, and it sounds a little ropy at times.
You're dead right - Lonestar's recorded version is excellent and the drumming an object lesson in building excitement in the way that Marc Cohn's version, whilst still great, doesn't quite achieve. However, this live version is, as you say, much too fast and a bit slapdash all round.
Their studio versions sounds better, I'll give it that...but it's still not near as good as Marc Cohn. They put their little "country twang" in their voice and ruin it.
why did richie leave
jssstephenson 1 year ago
@jssstephenson he wanted to try solo work, and has failed so far, so has Lonestar. They should really reunite.

I like the way eli sang it on AGT better. There was a lot more feeling in it, or maybe I just prefer his vocal style.

Worst travesty that has ever been done to a song, no soul whatsoever. Marc Cohn did it right, Lonestar and Cher should have stayed on the porch

No soul? At least Lonestar has rhythm in this version. Marc Cohn just wails that Nashville drawn-out crap. Use a metronome, asshat.

I do agree with that lonestar should have stayed on the porch but chers version is way better then the orginal.

And you need
1 to hear the studio-recorded version
2 to know that live shows never sound as good when recorded using a crappy video camera
