So No Blu Ray, no other memory card support, no numeric keypad for a DESKTOP keyboard, no adapters to connect this to my HDTV, and a $1700 price tag? The sad part? Its an improvement over the last generation. Seriously, dude, get the Vaio L. Its "only" a 24" display but it has multitouch support, blu ray, SD AND memory stick support, HDMI input, and a TV tuner (not to mention Windows 7) for a lot less than what you paid there. Oh, and they give u a full wireless keyboard and a remote.

I do not own one blu ray disk, so why do i need blu ray? I never use SD cards..Why do I need to connect a 27inch HD screen to my HD TV again, nor do i need a TV tuner. The Vaio L might be a better deal in your opinion..but then i wouldnt get the great Apple customer support, and I would be using Windows..Ill stick with Mac OS X. And a numeric keyboard is available upon request..

oh yea..and i forgot no viruses so I wont be bringing it in to best buy 2 months later...or using anti-virus software to slow down my computer. I am also running with 6 gigs of ram a 1 TB harddrive and a 3 GHZ processor..and did i mention no Windows? lol...

Windows users...theres no arguing with them! They're just drones! I used windows for over 15 years and switched over to a MAC recently 3 years ago. It does everything faster and more efficiently and best of all, no virus or spyware. It has never crashed and starts up within a mere 10 seconds. It's not about quantity, it's quality.

Windows 7 is a hellova lot better. I stayed away from Vista and stuck with Ubuntu and XP. And I like playing games and having compatible software over being "faster and more efficient. Furthermore, AVG Free takes care of my virus and spyware problem no sweat.

With that speed you wouldn't notice anti-virus like AVG Free. Furthermore, what the hell is the point in having that epic 27" 1440p screen if you can't play Blu ray movies, hook it up to your HD DVR or get a TV Tuner and watch it on there? Cuz Youtube HD will look "breathtaking"?

@daftrok Working on. A high resolution display isn't ust for watching films on you know. A lot of people actually do work on then, and the bigger the resolution the more you can get done at once. Designers especially love big high resolution displays.

That's all well and good, however if you are a film maker you need Blu Ray to burn the disc or some form of TV tuner (HDMI in, etc) to record and edit live feeds for running a segment on news, be it online or live. As a photo designer it's a great tool, but once again if you need that much resolution for photo editing, you can get a $30 monitor.

My point is that yes, it may be useful to have that much more screen, but you have to be realistic. Who is the market? Consumers that want to watch HD.
