The microfiber went UNDER the fleece in the video so it never did touch the skin. The liner keeps everything INSIDE and is what fits snuggly across the skin. It all goes in the wash together, no biggie. Hope that answered some questions below!

never put microfiber next to babys skin, its very bad for the skin. google it. also, a fleece liner helps the baby to stay feeling dry.

Is there a particular reason why you use the liner? So you'll have to wash both liner and cloth insert?
