If this band could just get a better vocalist. I think you could throw some great black metal highs, Brutal death metal lows and amazing clean vocals over this track. The vocalist just pulls this godly music down.

I disagree. I feel like the whole screaming/singing dichotomy (I'm sure there's a term for it) has been done to death recently. Glad to see the guy focus on and excel at screaming. Obviously he's not in this song but I think he complements the band very well.

@SuitDude Actually, there has been far less harsh/clean hybrids as of late. The problem in this case isn't the fact that the vocalist only does harsh, its that he brings nothing new to the table (which the instruments do) and he doesn't excel at the vocal work by any means. Not terrible. But his highs and lows are quite substantially weak and unoriginal sounding.

Hence they they would be better with a vocalist who could do the vocal range to a stronger extent and bring in diversity.

I agree with you completely. I didn't care much for the vocals, but I persisted in listening because of the phenomenal guitars. After a while, I've grown a tolerance bordering on appreciation for the vocals. Congrats, though, on the great taste in music at fifty-seven years of age.
